I am wondering who is on the dis with a laptop. I normally go on when I am at work so I am on a desktop. right now I am at home and there is something worng with my desktop the screen will not turn on.

I'm on a laptop. Nothing wrong with the desktop but its so much more comfy with the laptop, on the couch watching Failure to Launch while I DIS.

Only DIS from my laptop now, the girls have taken over the other computers, but that's ok, I prefer the laptop.

i bought a laptop last year think my 2 dd would use it along with the desktop.

i've been glued to since

it's the greatest! it broke last month and i didn't have it for 3 weeks, i was going through withdrawels

I've DIS'ed soley from a laptop for the last year. I got a laptop for high school graduation last June, my sister took over the house computer, and the rest is history. Right now I'm lying on my bed, in my air conditioned room typing. Much better than sitting in a desk chair in the non-airconditioned sun room

I've got the laptop, hubby is on the desktop. Currently, he's pricing out components to build his new computer and IMing me interesting computer/techie stuff. We're silly that way!

I was without my laptop for two weeks and it was NOT fun. It's nice having the flexibility to go out on the lanai, sit on the couch or in the office.

The laptop is working find. It is the desktop that is not working. I am actually liking the laptop I dont have wireless yet but will be looking into it tomorrow also i have to get use to the keyboard and everything being so close to gether. I really need to proofread my post.

1) Do you have power to the computer itself?

2) Do you have power to the monitor? (any lights on?)

3) If you have lights on the monitor, are they amber or green?

4) If you have power but no picture, check your video cables. Make sure the plug is snug at the back of the monitor, and also at the back of the PC.

I am dising from my wireless laptop. Nothing like wifi laptops. I have had it that way for about 3 years now and would never go back to our desktop. I freak when my computer is out for repairs.

Right now I am on my Dell desktop. But usually I'm on my Dell notebook.

I'm on my brand new laptop, just got it yesterday in time for our trip to Texas. It is so cool to be sitting on my bed in my motel room on the DIS-wireless!!! We are driving to Texas to look for a house so it's really nice to have the laptop for communication and entertainment. My DS has been playing games and watching movies in the car during the day so I am really glad we finally got it.

I am on my laptop most of the time. DS and DH each have desktops, and while I use those occassionally, it is not often. I use a desktop at work though.

Always on my laptop. DH (Mr Silly, mostly lurks) is often sitting next to me, on the bed, on his.

Make sure you did not dim out your screen too. My mom does that.

The computer turns on but the monitor will not. No lights when you press the button to turn on the monitor. I checked all the wires and nothing. i think it blew. I guess now there is no reason for me to not buy a flat panel which i have always wanted.

Same here, don't know how I ever survived with the desktop. When Rita came along last yr it was a lot easier to grab the laptop and go!
