Laptop to BCV

Does the BCV have a dedicated internet line? Are you charged for using it or dialing a toll free number?

BCV does have one strange thing with laptops. I normally plug my laptop phone cord into the data port on the phone and just leave it there. In December at BCV that caused the phone to be busy to all incoming calls for over 24 hours. The laptop was not on and I was not connected to the internet, but until I took the phone cord out of the data port the phone would not work. I have NEVER had that happen at any other hotel (and I used to travel a lot on business)

I will be going to the BCV at the end of the mont as well. What I have done is purchased a cord to connect the laptop to my cell phone. Now days with free nights and weekends, and no long didtance charges, I figured that this would be the easiest way to go. I got the cable and software for $35, and it works great.

I guess I am confused....... If you bring a regualr phone cord, is there a charge per call? I know now not to leave the phone cord plugged in to the data port, but what are the expenses? Thanks.....

If you have a local Orlando dial up #, it's 35 cents per call for DVC members.
