I plan on taking my laptop so I can transfer pics from my camera and, I am ashamed to say, to get some work done. Does the Wonder have the capability to lock up my PC when I am not using it?

I just came back from a 7 day long western caribean, thanksgiving cruise, and I took my laptop, my 4x6 photo printer and had no problems with security... I just left it in the laptop bag everytime we were out of the room.

We took ours to transfer pictures and never had an issue with it. We put it in one of the cabinets when we weren't in the room.

If you don't have a cable lock for your laptop, you might consider getting one (not just for this trip, but for any time you take it with you); it's then a pretty simple matter to lock it to an immoveable object. I've had two laptops stolen (both from my church office, no less), and one was cable locked, so I know it's not foolproof, but it will deter a theft of opportunity.

You should always keep your laptop cable-locked. As mobetsy said, they're not foolproof, but locks "keep honest people honest".

BTW, according to a security consultant whose advice about this I heard, the most secure place to attach the cable is around the drain pipe to your bathroom sink.
