I haven't seen (on Delta.com, etc) anything about not being able to have a laptop or ipod on planes (domestic flight) but my grandparents keep saying they heard I couldn't have them. Anyone knowledgeable?

Electronic Devices on domestic flights were never banned and are still allowed.

check tsa.gov

I suppose that an airline could prohibit an item but I am not sure.

People have got to stop listening to rumors and get the facts. Go to the web sites and find out for yourself.

Electronic devices were restricted in England after the arrests this month, so that may be how somebody got the idea.

I listened to my iPod last weekend on an American Airlines domestic flight. Plenty of people on the plane had laptops, personal DVD layers, and other electronics. The electronic devices must be off during taxi, takeoff, approach, and landing. If your Windows laptop has WiFi or your Mac laptop has AirPort, the wireless communications must be turned off during flight on most airlines.

As the other posters have mentioned, yes you can take your laptop, ipod etc on the plane. I was on a business trip this week and I have my laptop in my carry on.
