Lapland .... a mini trippie

just to say we had a fab but very tiring time !! and we loved every minute.

Iwill post a trippie and some pictures here later on ( when i am more awake !!)

the temps we only just below freezing...so not too cold

ok

we left home at 4am and went to collect my mum, we arrived at east midlands airort and parked the car at prestige parking.

We still hadn't told the kids where we were going and so we checked in and the staff we very good about not giving the game away Ellie and matthew were eventually told the destination 1hr before the flight left ! we flew to kittilae and the flight time was nearly 3hrs

on arrival we were given snow suits and boots and i have to say i never felt cold at all We then got a bus to lapland (30mins away) and we were then left to decide what and when to do activities wise. we did

visiting santa
a sleigh ride
a sleigh ride pulled by reindeer
a sleigh ride pulled by huskey
Toboggoning
skidoo rides
visiting santa's toy workshop
snowball fights a plenty !

there was also a small restaurant serving lunch

we had plenty of time and didn't feel rushed at all and we got back on the coach feeling very tired but satisfied that we had a fab day

It was a very long day and we eventually got home at midnight but we had a great time and it was well worth it

My friend & I were meant to go this year but her relative whose a travel agent took forever to let us know a price & it was dearer then elsewhere but it is too late as everywhere is booked up
