So...I have never been in the adult pool on the Magic, only observed it from afar as I was passing by ;)
BUT we are supposed to go on a 12 day cruise this summer with my sister and bro-in-law and he generally swims every morning, it helps his back issues, and it would be a plus if he could continue on during the cruise.

I have seen conflicting info on whether one can do laps in the Magic pool. I know it's on the small side (can't find exact measurements for it, either). But I did find a mention on Cruise Critic that it was possible to do laps first thing in the morning when it it's less crowded.

Has anyone done this??

On one of my TA cruises on the Magic I was able to do laps in the pool. Like you said it's small and I could hold my breath for one length of the pool. I do recall having the few times I did do laps they where a few other people in the pool but they seemed to give me my space to do my laps since they where just soaking.

This VIDEO shows a pretty good picture of the Adut pool on the magic. They aren't long laps, but you can certainly make do, there are even swim lines painted on the bottom in the video.

If you went super early you could likely swim. But the pools are small. I would think an experienced swimmer would maybe get in three strokes MAYBE before pushing off and around again. They are teeny teeny small.

yeah, they are more for getting wet and relaxing, not exercise.

push, glide, turn around, repeat.... (notice I did NOT say "stroke")

if you don't push off of the wall when turning you could get a little exercise in
