Lanyards

I notice a lot of people keep their tickets/fast passes in a pocket on a lanyard around their neck. Is that something that comes with the tickets, or is it purchased seperately? If seperately, where is the best place to buy them? (I'm thinking Disney ones, not regular ones)

Also, is this what people attach their pins to?

I use one of those lanyards with the clear plastic pockets attached. I got mine in 2009 from Disneyland Hotel when I checked in. We didn't receive them at WDW in 2010 the next time.

So I didn't purchase mine but not sure if they are provided anymore either. Some more recent travellers can hopefully update you.

I love the lanyard with clear pocket. Don't think I could do Disney without it.

You can buy lanyards in the parks (tons of different designs) and some come with the pouch and others without. you can attach pins to the lanyard as well. We found some of our pins would come off the lanyard due to the backs not being correctly put on the pins (our fault) so i would suggest wearing only pins you want to trade and not 'keepers' in case of loss.

The lanyards can also be purchased on ebay, etsy, and disneystore.com plus sometimes other disney retailers. You can usually buy them in any disney store.

You pay usually $12 and up in parks for the lanyards so usually etsy and ebay are cheaper

We were not given ours and had to purchase.

I buy a few at the dollar shop, then seem to swap with americans at WDW..they love them.....

it stands out, and I can see it on my towel when I'm in the pool

best $2.50 I ever spend

So recommendation is have a lanyard to hold tickets ect?

definitely... make sure your pouch has a ziploc type closure though, otherwise your tickets can full out if you bend over, or get wet on water rides (had this happen to a couple who went on splash while we were there).

it means that you can always tell you've got your tickets on you, and makes easy access for fastpasses

we found them pretty nifty. i'd bought a plastic ziplock pouch to put ours in, then we got to the park, saw the lanyards with pouches and were total suckers...

karen, where do you get your aussie lanyards from? nowhere around me has them
