Lanyards and Tickets for Kids

Hi all,

What is the youngest you let your child wear there TTTW. I know that includes there room key and their passes to the parks.

Some background: We will be the four of us, bil, sil, dn and parents in laws. I am not sure how much mixing up of kids and adults we will do.

I take ALL of the family's tickets once we enter the parks...that INCLUDES dh's. So I guess for some that means that 45 isn't old enough.

Seriously though, I think it's a lot easier to have them in one spot IF you're going to stay together. If not, I'd say that as soon as I let my child off on his/her own (or with a friend) that I will have to relinquish that control since he might want to use it for food or a FP. So I guess that would be somewhere between the 13 and 15 year old range...depending upon how responsible my child ends up when he gets that old!

I also collect all of my family's tickets once they go through the turnstile. It is easier to have them all in one place, for fastpasses. I hand them out at mealtimes or if someone wants to leave the park.

The only park where this caused a serious problem was AK. We had lunch at Rainforest, and Rainforest is located outside of the park. Long story short, a few people got stranded in the restaurant and couldn't get back in the park, because someone else had their tickets.

Me too! It's just a habit now I suppose though. DH and the kids are conditioned to hand over the tix directly after the turnstile! DS will be traveling with the school band soon though - so I guess he'll have to be responsible for himself. scarey though!

i too collect them all (6 of us!) after the turnstiles. if anyone wants to go out on their own, i will briefly relinquish them but they all end up back with me before long.
