Lanyard pins vs Hidden Mickey coll.

Just got back from WDW and got lots of Lanyard Pins. But can someone tell me the difference between the Hidden Mickey Collection and the Lanyard collection with the mickey? I thought you couldn't buy pins with the Mickey, but we saw some for sale in a store. Any help is appreciated. TIA

We just got back too, and had the same question, though we think we've discovered the answer. Okay, a few cast members told us that the pins with the little mickey's on them used to be cast member only pins.. however, now they've made a new line called "Hidden Mickey's". So now, as we understand it, you can buy only ONE hidden mickey in the set from the stores, all the others in the series are cast only, and you can only get them from trading. Make sense? Unfortunately, we traded off many cast pins from not understanding all of this.. grrrr.. Now, my dh is turning to ebay to complete our girls collections! LOL

Thanks. I was just going through all of our pins and putting them in their proper place in our pin book. I was thinking of heading off to ebay too, but then I told my DH that we just need to go back to WDW instead!!!!

I will admit, this is confusing to me as well...........

So, say there is a series of 5 pins (for example), only 1 out of the five you can BUY with a hidden mickey on it, the rest in that set you can buy, but they won't have a hm on them? But, if you TRADE for a cm pin in that same set, THEIRS would have a HM on it??? Yikes........ I am lost........lol

As far as I understand it.. they ALL have the hidden mickey's on them, but out of a set of 5 (as in your example), only one can be bought in stores.. the others are only found through cast members.

ok.... think i got it now..

So if there is a set of five, you can say get pin #1 in the store, but the other 4 in the series have to only be traded with a cm to get? Correct?
