Lanyard and pins w/ package?

There are different options of where to pick up your lanyard and pins that come with the package. Does each location hand out the same ones or do they differ?

If they book through the Walt Disney Travel Company (and most do), I believe it's the same.

The pin is the same, the lanyard is different depending on if you book with WDTC, AAA or Costco. At least that's how it was a few years ago.

We booked through Costco. Was mostly wondering about the pin. We'd most likely get them in DTD but didn't want to if it was a better pin in the parks. Thanks!
