Ok, Sears told me that I can return Lands' End any time, even if I have worn it, if I am not satisfied.

I recently purchased a pair of pants. I wore them for about 2 hours and they just fit worse and worse as I wore them. They were a bit large in some areas and snug in others. As I wore them (they were stretch), they really fit terribly.

I feel a bit guilty returning them if I have had them on, but is this ok to do (return them?)

Thanks,

Dawn

You can return them if you are unsatisfied, and I definitely think you are unsatisfied!

I agree. Two hours is just a longer version of "trying them on". You should only feel guilty if you wear something for a length of time and only return it after you "used it".

Ok, thanks. I will look for the receipt tonight and see about returning them tomorrow.

Return them. If you'd worn them tons of times and then "decided" you didn't like the fit that would be one thing. You didn't. You put them on and almost immediately noticed a problem. Returning it and letting them know HOW it didn't work will help them improve the product (if they are so inclined LOL)

Honestly, even if you'd worn them TWICE I would say the same thing. There are somethings I wear once and think "Ewww, I hate this." But then give it another go round and it's fine so either the first time I was having an off day and nothing would have felt right or maybe I gained/lost water weight that changed the fit. But if you wear it twice and it still doesn't work it is probably the garment. FWIW, I hate jeans! It is so hard to find a pair that fits well both in the dressing room and after a couple hours wear.

i buy a lot from lands end so i don't feel bad saying return them.

ESPECIALLY because something is wrong with their sizes (way too big) and their fabrics at times.

I'm looking right now at a jacket i bought for dc and it's just way way too big (correct # size). Looks awful, it's not warm and i'll end up throwing it out soon. ($55)

They won't blink at that. I have a Land's End clearance center in my area, and they sell lots of returns. People will return things that are completely worn out -- I've seen pairs of shoes with holes in the soles on those clearance racks.

I returned a mattress pad I'd had for a couple of years. I can't remember now exactly what happened to it but it sort of disintegrated after washing it - normal wash. It was very expensive and should have lasted longer. No problem with a refund.

Now I bought some jeans a few months ago and have lost a lot of weight (not on purpose). They are now too big, but I would never return them. I only wore them once - but it's not their problem at all.

Lands End is fantastic. I bought DS a pair of school pants and the material was so thin, he got a hole the first day. I wrote a review on the website and they contacted me and told me I could return them if I was not 100% satisfied. I had no idea they even had such a policy!

This is why I love Lands End. Never had any trouble returning anything that didn't meet expectations. My daughter had a pair of shoes from them that started to come unstitched around the toe after minimal wear - they took them back no problem and replaced them for free. The second pair lost the button that closes them after a couple of weeks; again no trouble with the return. I ordered a coat from them this winter and when it came, I could see that it had clearly been worn and washed (was full of cat hair!). They apologized profusely when I called about it and even sent me a $35 gift card for the inconvenience. I know their stuff costs a bit more than other stores, but it wears well, their return policy is very generous, and I am a happy customer!

Great thread!

I recently bought a Lands End winter coat. First coat I've bought myself in years. I received it in early January and have worn it nearly every day for at least a few hours. Here is the problem, it is leaking duck/down feathers everywhere. My car seats are covered with feathers. When I go out I usually have a few puff out and it is just odd. I asked the lands end sales person if that was normal and they had no idea. I've been putting up with it, but now the threads on the coat are coming loose/out and I'm wondering if this coat is even going to last the season. We still have another solid month + of cold weather.

Would you return it?

YES!!! That doesn't sound normal and is certainly aggravating. I would return it for either of those reasons so you have TWO good reasons to take it back.
