Last August I purchased the $25 membership. I used it at the Rainforest Cafe in Animal Kingdom. Going back this August will I get another birthday reward or do I need to pay to renew the membership?

You get the Birthday reward every year. I recently signed DD16 up for a card. So, she got the $25 for Signing up and then $25 for her June Birthday and I got $25 for my June Birthday. We were able to use all $75 at Bubba Gumps at MOA (although they did have to split up the check). I love this card. And the fact it gets you seated before everyone else.

I am also going & want to use my birthday reward. We have the dining plan- does anyone know if they would let me use it for something not covered by the plan, like a cocktail?

Yes I've used mine for the dessert that you can't get with the dining plan.
