We will be in WDW in Aug. and will be eating at both Rainforest and Y&Y...and it is my birthday month!

Oooohhhhh- I am interested in this too. We have reservations for Y&Y in Aug and it's my b-day month too!!!
We are on the dining plan- but will need to pay out of pocket for 1 meal so might as well make it this one if we can do something like that!

If you read the FAQ's section, it states that if you haven't sighed up before your birth month this year, you will have to wait until next year to get your rewards.

I'm hoping that the program is started sooner than August; although my DHs Bday month is Oct, so we'd be OK. it didn't sound set in stone. If I find anything else out I will surely post!

I went to the website and did a search of Orlando locations. It does list Y&Y,Trex & RFC so I'm hoping they are included too.

I was hoping to update today. This new program was to have a training day for those involved, but no call yet from them yrt. I will be off work tomorrow, and may have to call again.
Even though their website is up, I did som snooping http://www.landrysselect.com/SelectClubFeatures.aspx and found this-

"The Landry's Select Club program is currently a pilot program. We are not accepting new applications at this time, but we invite you to come back in August to join the reward club with unsurpased quality and value."

So...I will keep watching, and see what happens. I guess this explains why there's not too much info out there yet. It will still work for me.

I guess I won't be able to use this for our July trip then!

Hi. Just wanted to update about the Select Club. I called again today, and was told that they are still having issues getting their website to work properly. Unfortunatly the lady didn't know to much, she just fields the calls, but did give me a working EMail, to send my questions and said she would see that it was forwarded to the right person.
So...here I go again, not any real answers for you. But, I will keep trying so that some of us can save some money using this Club card.

I belong to the Safari club for rainforest cafe. I have been a member for 3 or 4 years now and I don't get this level of perks, so I am not sure what you are talking about. The club was $15 to join and I was just at a rainforest in Chicago and I think it was still $15, but I didn't pay alot of attention. I received a $10 certificate when I joined. I get coupons via e-mail all the time for free desert or $5 off your meal and I do believe you get a b-day one too, but not for $25. You cannot combine the coupons either. You normally get 10%off or a free appetizer ( at all Landrys). You should get priority seating at Rainforest, but not the other Landrys like T-Rex.

This is also my understanding of my membership with the Safari Club. If you use the card at least once a year, your membership continues for free. It was $15 for me at the RFC in DTD about 5 years ago.

Does the birthday bucks only get added for adult birthdays? Can we put our kids on the card and have them get $50 for their month as well?

I wondered this too, but I would think they would not do this. It would be perfect for our trip in Oct. My DHs Bday is oct so we can get the $25 for our card, but DDs family has no adult Oct Bdays, only DGS who's Bday we will be at T Rex to celebrate. Would be great if DD could use his Bday. I don't know if they ask to see ID so that people don't lie about their Bday.
I still haven't gotten any info other than them saying they are working on it. I guess I'll check the web site now and then.

The Safari Club is just $10 to join now - a limited time special from the usual $15. I saw the offer online the other day and my sister joined last night. It is for a lifetime and you get a $10 credit within 6-8 weeks. You immediately get the free appetizer or 10% off your meal and continure to get this each time you go. This is at all of Landry's restaurants I believe - Joe's Crab Shack and T Rex and the Aquarium are the ones near me. I haven't received them recently (but I think that is because I apparently haven't been in a year until last night) but I also get a birthday gift plus anniversary gift such as a free volcano or something. I joined years ago because I feel like one of the biggest perks is going to the front of the line. Instead of giving my name and waiting an hour or more to be called back and then going to be seated - I just get in the line to be seated. It is like having a reservation any time I want it!

was your sister able to join on-line? I'd like to join, but there are no restaurants listed in either SC or NC!

Hi! Just check the Landry Select Club page, and I still get this:

I never got any more answers than check back in August.
I hope they do have it running in August, so that I can join and get the birthday bucks for our T-Rex dinner in Oct.

I was looking for ways of reducing the cost of our one oop meal on our WDW trip in October. We will have the DDP but have decided that we want to try T-Rex in DTD for my DGS bday while we're there.
So, if I join this Landry club, I pay $25 to join, that goes on my card like a credit, then if I use my husband on the card, his Bday in in Oct, so for his Bday they put $25 on the card to use only for the month of Oct. So that would mean that for $25 I end up with a $50 gift card/credit to use in October. Anyone know if This is right?

UPDATE!
I started watching their site again, because it said to come back in August to join. This is what was on it this morning...

So now it's September. Darn. Well, I have my ADR for T Rex in Oct. Sure would like this to be going soon.
