Landry’s Rewards Card

I will go ahead and sign up today, but there is a chance I won't get my card before my trip? It is over a month away? Also, with the priority seating, what if most everyone at T-Rex is a cardholder, who gets priority with seating then?

Yes, you should get it within a month. I was confused by your "it won't expire in two weeks" comment. I figured that's when your trip was.

It reverts to "first come, first served" if everyone were a cardholder, but really...that's a ridiculous expectation.

We went to the Rainforest Cafe in Nashville one day and the wait was quite long, and the host told me that they had 11 families that had checked in within the last hour and were card holders. May not be the norm, but the more people who join, like myself today, the lesser than benefit could eventually be.

Could be a location specific thing. We've never had that problem at all at either RC or T-Rex at Disney. Of course, we mostly try to do as Landry's website suggests..."Select Club members are eligible for Priority Seating (based on availability) any day of the week for parties of six or less. Reservations are preferred where accepted"

Lots of people don't realize the Priority Seating benefit is only for parties of 6 or less.

We have used the card without a reservation two or three times and have never waited over 10 minutes or so for a table.

The card may come in handy in Nashville when we go there from time to time as well. I do plan to use the Welcome Reward and the Birthday Reward next month in Disney. One with a meal and the other hopefully in the shop.

Does anyone know if Canadians can join the Landry club card?

Yes, both myself and my DD are card holders. I joined several years ago and she just joined a couple of months ago. We go each summer and my DD and I celebrate summer birthdays, so we are the ones who signed up because we can use our birthday rewards when we go each summer. We've only ever used my landry card at T-Rex in Disney Springs and Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom. We use it on our summer trips and then put it away in our 'Disney drawer' to use again the following summer. So, I paid $25 and got it back (welcome reward) and have used my $25 birthday reward for probably the last 4-5 years. This trip, we are going to both T-Rex and RFC over our 2 week trip, so we decided to get DD a card too. Our Landry cards arrived in the mail in Ontario, no problem at all. The priority seating is soooooo nice!
ETA- my dad has come with us before and he has a Landry card too. When he was there with us, we were both allowed to use any rewards we had. We were at the same table but had separate cheques and it was no problem. We did ask the server when we placed our orders, just to confirm it was ok.

Yes. There's a Morton's in Toronto and a Rainforest Cafe in Niagara Falls where you can use the card at home, and another restaurant in Vancouver (can't remember the name).

:edited to note that I've never been to those locations to try, but I am another Canadian with a card that's used it in Orlando, Vegas, Buffalo, etc without any issues:

I forgot about the RC in Niagara Falls - we used to visit the RC in the Yorkdale Mall and miss it now that it's gone.
