We are going to be flying from Burbank ca to Orlando in dec.
Our flight will not land until about midnight.

Our problem is.....what do we do for dinner? Is anything in the airport open at that hour? We are taking ME so no car. We will be grabbing lunch when we change planes in Vegas but we will be boarding in Vegas about 6 hours before we land in Orlando so we will want something. Does anyone have any suggestions?

There's a food court, and I would assume that it would be open pretty late, it's a large and busy airport, I'd be surprised if nothing is open.
I'll be arriving at 11:45pm in a week so I'll know better then. Our flight is only a little over 2 hours so food shouldn't be an issue, just getting the car and getting to our resort.
Here's a link the the airport shops and concessions

We have arrived on a midnight flight with the same situation. We had reservations at the Hyatt IN the airport. Can you believe the ONLY place to get food at that time of night was a cinnamon bun place that was in the process of closing. We begged them to let us order a few rolls. there were not any rest open in the hotel either We ordered room service and it took almost 2 hours to receive. I would highly recommend packing some munchies or the like as we were starving...

Pack meals, and pack them from home -- don't depend on being able to pick them up at LAS unless you have scheduled downtime of more than 2 hours between deplaning and boarding, because if your first leg runs late, you won't have time.

Unless a flight has scheduled meal service, it is ALWAYS advisable to pack one yourself, because delays happen, including tarmac delays. It is generally best never to count on being able to access a restaurant during an air journey.

If you need to carry condiment packets, put them in one passenger's 3-1-1 baggie. Or, you can try to get them at an air-side restaurant at your home airport before you take off, if that is workable for you. You can carry frozen fruit or vegetables to keep your meal cool, if necessary, or you can carry ziploc baggies and an insulated pack and get ice at an airside restaurant at your home airport and (maybe, if you have time) at your connecting airport as well.

I think only one or two the food court vendors are open 24/7. Maybe the Starbucks. Might be a place that has some (overpriced and probably stale) sandwiches.

I'd pick up a second sandwich at Vegas.

You are correct, Lewisc...it was a Starbucks that was open and the only food they had were 2 stale cinnamon rolls..

Some airlines offer snack boxes or food for purchase on board in coach. Which airline are you flying?

Either do a site search or check websites. I think at least one of the chain pizza places (Domino's Papa Johns?) offers late delivery. Not sure if it's late enough to help you. If I'm right use a cell phone to order while your DME bus is nearing your resort.

Definitely pack food from home and purchase water or other beverages after you go through Security. Even if I drink the complementary beverages on board, I always pick up a bottle of water for each person in our group--just in case! And have needed them only once! *LOL*

Which airline are you flying? Southwest usually offers snack boxes--highly processed foods--on their longer flights. Think crackers with cheese, summer sausage, fruit roll-ups... They're premade by the vendor, so there are no choices.

Not sure about the other airlines.
