I think you got it in the right order. The cruise will help you relax after the park days.
Here's a little bit of info about the transition.
If you take the
DCL shuttle you will receive the letter that informs you of your pick up time late in the evening before your cruise. Make sure your luggage are in your room, ready to pick up by 8:00 AM.
The shuttle is nice and they will present you a little video about you cruise (it feels a lot like the Magical Express.)
Be sure to sit on the left side of the bus to get the best view from the ship when you get to the bridge near the port.
You will arrive to PC between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM. Some people think it's late but my family loves it because you don't have to wait to check-in and your room is ready and Cabanas is already a bit more quiet.
You have the time to drop your luggage, have lunch and a drink. If you skip the drink you may have a little time to swim or visit the ship before the mandatory fire drill (you cannot skip it).
The sailaway party starts right after the fire drill and you should leave port about 30 minutes after the fire drill.
Oh and save some money before the cruise: you will most likely want to book another cruise before you get off the ship. They have good deals if you do.
You can bring ginger pills and dramamine or bonine with you it's useful. The 24 first hours of a cruise can be rough. Take it BEFORE you leave (DH and I learned it the hard way) DH and I take our anti-nausea pills at the beginning of the fire drill and we don't get dizzy/sick anymore.
