Land/Sea vs. a 7 night cruise

Hoping we can book when the spring rates come out for 2019 but we are really torn between a 4 night cruise with 3 days at WDW or a 7 night cruise. A little info... We have done WDW several times, but have not been there in a few years. It seems really sad to go to FL and not see WDW at all. Yet, I would love the experience of a longer cruise and getting to see more ports vs. a Bahama cruise. It would also be my kid's first cruise (ages 5 & 9).

For those who have done both, I would love to hear the pros and cons! Thanks

We're thinking of a similar plan... I would like to do a 7-night cruise, but I think my then 8-year-old daughter will have more fun going to WDW for a couple days, and then the 4-night cruise, followed by one more night at WDW for MNSSHP. Interested to see what others have to say as well. We're sailing Sept 2018.

Our first cruise was 7nts, our second cruise was 4nts which was wayyyy too short. I made a vow to never cruise again unless it is at least 5nts.

When we go to DW for vacation, we always try to stay at least a week.

So, in my mind, 3nts at DW is not enough and a 4nt cruise is not enough. So this is not a combo I would personally choose. But thousands of people do it every day!!

Having said all of that, one thing I did miss on our cruises were resort-sized pools. So, part of me did miss the whole DW experience while I was on the ship. Is there any way you could swing 1-2 nights at DW prior to the cruise to get a tiny taste of DW then set sail?

Good luck!

Yes, that is my concern with a Land / Sea, that it would feel like an "appetizer" on both parts of the trip. I would love to add some time for DW onto a 7 night cruise, but the price tags are pretty staggering as is. It sure would be helpful to know what original prices tended to be for Spring of 2018.. I'm waiting on 2019 but have no idea what to expect price-wise.
