Land/Sea transportation - is it free now?

Hey guys, I'm arranging a land & sea family reunion for December (9 rooms!) and last time I checked, Disney was charging $59 or $69 per person for the bus from the resort to the port and to the airport. I know Magical Express has changed things quite a bit, but I was reading the fine print on the Disney website, and it made it sound like the whole transportation deal was free now. It is just wishful thinking? Thanks for any help you can provide. My nerves are a little frazzled from all the details I'm having to figure out.

I'll bump you up. I am interested in this also.
I think it is wishful thinking, but I could use a little pixie dust.

Yes it is wishful thinking. We just booked ours and had to pay. Our total for 3 adults and 3 kids was $300.00. We only got resort to port and port to airport b/c we're arriving 1 night b4 our package starts and DME is getting us from the airport(hopefully, they seemed kind of confused by this).

MCO to the resort is free as part of the Magical Express package. DCL reduced the prices of the land/sea transfers to include the fact that this portion is free for the duration of the promotion. You still pay for Port to MCO and WDW to Port.

I knew it was too good to be true. Schultz5, I'm doing the same thing, coming in a day early, and my TA seemed a little puzzled too, with booking ME. Let's hope the details all come together, huh?

I had a long conversation with my TA about this because under the Land/Sea FAQ it says that all transportation is included. Well, they mean that when you price the Land/Sea on the DCL Website the transfers are automatically added (although you have the option to decline and the price comes off). A little misleading.

Yeah, I would think that alot of people do this. So that our first park day is a FULL DAY! But when I called, they acted like I was the first one ever. Since you're going until Dec. and I'm in Oct. I'll let you know how it works out. Somebody mentioned on another thread about making sure we put our DME luggage tags on and not our DCL tags. I think as far as the luggage goes, that will be key to getting that part right.

Hi!

We have the same deal you do. Our luggage tags arrived earlier this week for ME, and we leave in 20 days. It seems like everything is o.k., but I won't know for sure until I have our cruise documents!

Please let me know how everything worked out after your trip. Have fun!!!

Wow, this sounds a little tricky. So we'll be getting two sets of luggage tags, and we'll have to make sure we put the right ones on at the right time! I don't really want my luggage to get a head start on the cruise while I'm sitting in the Disneyworld hotel waiting for my clothing to show up. That would not be good. And I was hoping to give my brain cells a break on this trip. No such luck!
Thanks, everyone for all of this valuable info.

We haven't flown to Disney since 1999(we've driven and taken the train). Last time we flew, after so many delays and stuff we ended up Disney exactly 12 hrs after schedule, and our luggage, for some unknown reason, had gone to CT. I've never ever been to CT. So getting the luggage thing right is like priority number 1 with us. Trust me, you don't wanna finally make it to your destination only to find out you have no clothes.
