I was just wondering....

Has anyone else ever done the Land & Sea Vacation? We are going to Disney first (3nights) followed by the 4 night cruise. Any tips on how to make the transition smoothly? What should I expect? Will it be too much for my 3YO?

Also, we upgraded to a Category 7 so we could stay at the AK Resort. What kind of room should I expect? I would like a Savanah view. We booked as a package, so I am not sure what resort room to expect with the cat. 7 on the cruise. Will be looking at the parking lot?

Thanks in advance!!

Valerie

Howdy,
I havnt done land and sea package, but I have talked to some who have and they all said the same thing. It was so easy, everything is laid out for you. You are greeted by Disney at the airport and have a nice comfortable DCL bus to take you to AK. Everyhting will be told to you in easy to understand directions. They all loved it, no worries!!!
I have seen the rooms at AK on a tour when it first opened. All the rooms were very nice. Some did face the Savana, others faced the pool.It is a nice BIG pool compared to others at older hotels they have.
I'm sure your 3 year old will have a blast, just remember to take time for him to just play like any other time. All the parks have a play area somewhere and fountains or misters to get wet in. Sometimes people are in such a hurry to see it all, they rush all the time, then the kids get grumpy and dont have a good time. We always picked out 3 things at each park we wanted to see for sure, did them first, and anything after that was a bonus for us. We always went back to the hotel in the afternoon and either rested or played in the pool to unwind, then headed out again to the parks. That seemed to help with the younger ones. Use the fast pass system so you wont have to wait in long lines with your child when ever possible. That really helps. We live by WDW and go there almost every weekend so we have learned the best way to navigate the parks. Mt son and DIL work for WDW too.
The cruise is relaxing so doing the parks first if the best way to do it. You can rest up from the busy parks while on board.
Hope you have a magical time!

Thanks mom x4!!

Isn't funny how we have to remind ourselves to relax and have fun? If I didn't I would try to do it all!!

Those are some good tips. We will definitely go back to the resort in the afternoon. DD doesnt really nap anymore, but I think she will need one after all that excitement. And some pool time would be good too.
