Land & Sea Question

O.K. all you DCL Land & Sea Vets:

Trying to quickly plan a July cruise. 1st time for us on DCL. If we take the L&S plan what type of room do you get at the Deluxe?? At AKL is it a Savannah View, at Beach Club is it a water view? Or, do you come out better just making your own room ressie and paying separately??

Land and sea package will be easier on a short notice..but truth be told you can get both much cheaper normally by booking land and sea part seperate

I have been trying to do that, but the package is cheaper everytime! I am surprised at that.

I look at it this way:
Cruise Only: $2467
Add room: $ 600
3 ph for 4ppl:$ 720
Total: $3787

or Package: $3527
This is for a cat 6 with deluxe room, assuming AKL.
If you assumed Poly or BCV, it would even be more.

Am I doing it wrong? I think I am underestimating room costs. This is during November, maybe it is a difference in seasons?

Even with a cat 10 @
cruise: $1967
room: 450
3 day uph/4: 720
Total: $3137
or
Package $2727

I used rates from allseas.

thanks for reaffirming what I have been struggling with . . . . and

mousefansmom, I know what you are feeling - I kept figuring and refiguring and I still can't determine if we can get the actual room we'd want with the category we selected.

I am using my faithful "cruise consultant" for booking. Cruises is all she does. We have used her for 8 years and she has never let us down. I will post later and let you know what she finds out.

ACTUALLY DECIDING AFTER TALKING WITH CRUISE PERSON TO DO THE 7 DAY CRUISE - JUST BETTER VALUE FOR US THAN DOING THE 3&4 PAKG

WE WERE LOOKING AT JULY 25 AND WILL NOW BE DOING JULY 24 FOR 7 DAYS.
