Land/sea luggage & check in

We're doing land/sea in November. Renting a car at the airport, so we'll get our luggage at the carousel and bring it to the hotel. Once at the hotel, we check in. Here's question #1...can we check in for the cruise portion as well? I read on a website that you can do both, but don't know if that's accurate.

Question #2...when we check out of the hotel and drive to the port, do we take our luggage or will it magically be transported there through the power of Disney?

I had assumed that we would be responsible for taking the luggage.

Question #3: Do they really play the first 7 notes of "When You Wish Upon a Star" as the ship's horn upon sailing? I got choked up when I read that.

#1...If you booked the land and sea package (not separate), then you will check in for the cruise portion right in the hotel. When you get to the port after your land vacation, you just board the ship without checking in again.

#2...Your luggage will be transported by Disney only if you are using their transfers.

#3...Yes, that is right about the horn. It is great!!!

Cool. Thanks. I figured we've have to drag our own luggage...it was wishful thinking!

Checking in for everything at the hotel should make it nice and easy.
