We just booked a land/sea trip in May for our family. I have a 7 year old and a nine month old. We are staying at The Beach Club.
Can you request rooms there, or do they assign since you are on the cruise? Any special advice or hints with children that age?
Should we bring our own stroller? We've rented before at the parks, but my son was 3 by then. We've done this vacation with my son and the Poly 4 years ago, but I'm sure it will be a whole new experience with an infant. Thanks for any tips!

We are doing the Land/Sea at the Beach Club too, in November 2005. I am eager to hear other's comments too.

We are also doing the Land/Sea/Beach Club in November 2005, looking forward to any responses. When is everyone going in November? We will be there Nov 27 - Dec 4.

We did the land/sea/beachclub in April. What a wonderful resort! It is beautiful! I'm not sure if you can request rooms or not. My understanding is when you book this package you get a standard view room. When we arrived at checkin before noon, the CM not only told us that our room was ready, but we got upgraded!!! We had the second floor with a balcony overlooking Cresent Lake. It was wonderful.

If I had and infant, I would probably take a stroller. Something lightweight and compact. There is alot of walking that you can do. Walk to Epcot or MGM, and there is always the Boardwalk immediately behind the hotel. At night I loved to walk the Boardwalk and then look back over to the Beach Club. All the lights, it is really amazing!!

Everyone have a great time and enjoy this beautiful resort. If you have any ?'s, I will try to answer!!

Thanks for the advice. I will bring our own stroller, especially that you can walk to 2 of the other parks. We're really looking forward to the Beach Club. Do the rooms have balconies? Which floors? I heard the pools are awesome. Any particular restaurant that we shouldn't miss there?

Pixie, We will be at the Beach Club November 20 - 23 & the cruise 23-27. Looks like we will just miss you.

Sharon, My plan is to be arriving the 19th (we are staying at a Holiday Inn) so the morning of the 20th I will have PS at the Cape May for Breakfast, that way we can tell them we will be Checking in that day and get our park hoppers early so we can go to the parks. I hear they will give you, your tickets anytime that day. What do you think? That would be so nice if we could go ahead and check-in. To be upgraded would be even sweeter.

We are going for the Mother's Day cruise. My 10 year old daughter will be there. When are you going?

We did the land/sea in 2002 and stayed at the Beach Club.
I had faxed a room request 4 days before arrival to try to get a room near the International Gateway at Epcot.
We were indeed given one of the closest rooms to Epcot and we were quite happy with it. It was great to be able to wander back and forth to the 'countries'.

We are doing land/sea/beach club in December '04. Looking forward to it. (Needless to say!)

Does anyone know if the resorts are still accepting fax room requests? I had heard that they are not. But that you could call the resort a couple of days prior to arrival to register your request.

The pool at the Beach Club is pretty sweet. We did our land/sea from there three years ago, and we were very happy. The fact that we could walk to Epcot was high on the list. The boat ride to and from MGM was also nice, although it does get crowded after the show at the end of the night.

One word, though. The hotel itself was pretty large. We were up on 3, as I recall, and it was a good 5-7 minute trip from the front doors to the room door. Didn't make that big of a difference, except right at the end of the day when collapsing into bed was actually a welcome thought.

Good luck.

I would certainly think that you could get you tickets early in the day. But I don't know for sure. I do know that if your room isn't ready, they can store your luggage for you.
