Final post.....thanks for reading this.
Day at sea. The weather on the last day was wet and cool. This day/ night was very similar to our on ship day at CC. Would like to say that the show ( wishes ) was excellent, and AP was fun ( that Disney Magic again! ) That night it was awesome to watch the rough ocean from our room...... Would like to share some final thoughts.

The service on the cruise was incredable!! and the staff on this ship is first class all the way!! The "Disney Magic" is everywhere on board, and the atmosphere is wonderfull. There is a problem with CC being unusable from time to time, and dcl MUST have a back up plan if their premire location is unusable ( another port, additional activities, discount on a future cruise......SOMETHING )Why spend all day at Nassau when other lines do not? The food at dinner was average and similar every night. The cruise was very enjoyable but was it worth the premium money spent? We did book a 7 day western while on board (for the discount) but I just finished looking at a rccl cruise during the same time, and from the same port. You get a larger boat with more things to do IF the weather is bad, a slightly larger room (sq. ft.) Better food (from what I hear) and a similar itenary for $1,000.00 less. (even with the discount/on board credit) Why should I spend the additional $$ on dcl??(it was probaly no mistake that RCCLs newest boat crossed paths with dcl during the cruise) I love Disney, (have been to the parks the last 4 years) and did not even think about going on vacation with anyone else, and never questioned the price before because I felt it was worth it. I havent cancelled my ressie yet, but is dcl worth the extra $$$. Please help me make up my mind!!!!!!

I had a ressie with DCL for New Years 2003. The reason I was second guessing sailing on DCL was the CC issue and my kids being teens. Wasn't sure if there were enough teen things to do. In the meantime my kids Xmas vacation time got extended so when I saw that I could cruise on RCCL at Xmas for less money, I changed the ressie. I just don't understand why DCL is so much more money. Is the service, rooms, activities, food, etc. so much better than the other cruise lines? I was happy with RCCL and I would sail with them again.

One reason why RCCL and others are cheaper is because they have casinos...they bring in big bucks for the cruise line. And I would think that the alcohol consumption would be higher on other lines as well.

DCL is not for everyone...but for me...I can't see myself ever going on a different cruise line. :flower:

Disney Dreamer........good point......I am STILL holding on to my 2/25 Western ressie for 06.......still undecided!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vacation Disney - thanks for the quick daily summaries. WE are also thinking about a 3 day land/4 day sea trip. We did a 7 day Eastern 2 years ago so have a good idea about the ship and activities. I'm wondering though if you found it too hectic to split up the week between the parks and the cruise? If you had to do it all over again, would you rather spend 7 days on either a cruise or 7 days in the parks?? Thanks, Jo

The reason we are chosing to stay with Disney at this point is...the kids! We have a 3 year old, 11, and 12 year old! They are still young enough to enjoy the clubs! We have cruised a number of times on Carnival and Royal Caribbean with our 2 oldest, but their clubs are no way as good! I do have to say that RCL has WAY better food than DCL though!
