Well...we are narrowing down our options for March break...and I believe we've got a good deal for the 7 day land and cruise package.

Has anyone done the land & cruise package? Do you feel very rushed? Did you and your party enjoy it? How is the Port Orleans Disney Hotel?

We looked at other cruise lines...and are very apprehensive in going with another line..since our son LOVED the Disney cruise last April...so this is the closet we can get to in a reasonable price range.

Any and all comments will be greatly appreciated:):)

Thanking you all in advance,
Vivian

We did a 3 day land 4 day sea last November and had a blast! We had 5 of us so we stayed on the land portion before the cruise at the Polynesian but afterwards we stayed in Port Orleans Riverside and it was great as well. The Poly was nice just for the Monorail but the Busses at POR were just as efficient! We didnt feel the least bit rushed (just wished we had more time on the boat than 4 days) but it was good reason to go back this May coming up...

If it was that or not going at all I sure would pick going on the land/sea part!!!

Hopefully that helps!
Heidi

*edited to add that for this cruise in May we are planning on staying at Port Orleans Riverside again we enjoyed it so much! The food court counter area was the best we saw on the trip and had pretty good food. The rooms were really nice even with 5 of us in there with the trundle bed out*

I love the land/sea package! Didn't feel rushed at all. We stayed at Port Orleans last trip. It was very nice but DH and I both preferred the Caribbean Beach Hotel. We love the tropical atmosphere. Makes you feel like you are already in the Caribbean. We also liked the food court better. It really is a matter of personal taste but if you love the tropical atmosphere I would highly recommend the CB.

What do you guys think about the 4 day land 3 day sea. We have 8 staterooms 25 people. We took a vote thats what we picked. No one has ever been on a cruise so we thought 3 day would be great way to ease into. Some are afraid of seasickness afraid that 4 or 7 days might be to much if they get ill. Which is fine with me I also am alittle nervous about the motion. Anyway we are going to extend the trip 2 day prior we are staying at the Doubletree suites at DD and then we go to the BC for 4 days then off to the boat. Not everyone is going 2 extra days so do you think the ones how get to the BC on Sun for 4 days then off to the boat will feel rushed. Thank You. Brenda

My family (extended) did the 4 land/3 cruise trip in '99. Although we feel in love with DCL, it was pretty rushed. I recommend doing the late seating, that probably will help with the "rushed" feeling. No matter what you chose, YOU WILL HAVE A BLAST!!!

BALAMAV, DH and I have done two 4 day land/3 day sea trips. The cruise was too short for DH but I really liked it. It is a bit rushed but a great way to get a taste of it. Then when you see how much you love it you will have an excuse to book a seven day!

We thought the same thing. We all have agreed if we love the cruise. Which I know we will. We will rebook the 7 day (Take a vote on Eastern or Western). So that we can get the onboard credit.

We're cruising next August and I purposely booked the 4 day land/ 3 day sea so that we could "try out" cruising. Since I'm taking my daughter, son, DIL and three grandkids (10, 9 & 7) we have the early dinner seating ... I figure we may rush around on the ship trying to "do everything" but that's okay.

I also added a day to the front of our trip so we'll have 5 days at the world.

We've done the 4 day land/ 3 day sea twice and are going for the third time in two weeks. There are five of us, grandma, me, hubby and two kids and this works out great for us. We enjoy the running around the parks followed by kicking back on the cruise and eating every chance we get. We love POR for the way it's laid out, seems quieter than the other resorts we've stayed at, and the kids love the food court there. The other plus side is if a few of you don't feel well on the ship it's only three days so you haven't lost much.
