Hi
I was wondering if anyone knew whether you had to do land before or after going to sea (does it matter???)
Thanks!:bounce:

If you are doing Disney's Land/Sea then the Land portion MUST come first.
You can also look into creating your own Land/Sea and then you have the freedom to do whatever you want.
Doing it yourself can give you alot more flexibility (which hotels, which park passes, which dates), but if you are looking into off peak, it possibly could save you money as well.

We are doing sea before land during March 05. I don't know exactly how it affected the budget, but the travel agent we are working with didn't act like it was that big of a deal.

Have a great vacation!

If you book the two seperately...as in on your own..., you can do what ever you want. For example, you can book a four day cruise, then arrange for a 3,4,5...etc. day stay at a WDW resort. This usually requires you to make all of your arrangements on your own (transfers, hotel, park tickets, etc.) Some people like to do this because they can usually get better price deals on the individual parts of the vacation. If you book the actual Land/Sea vacation then you do have to do the Land portion first. Most people book this way because they enjoy the convenience of the "seamless" transition from land to ship and the ease of having everything booked at one time (but it will generally cost you a little more). Personally, I like the convenience of having everything done in one booking.

I had the 3-day land/4-day sea package. I liked they had the land part first before I could relax on the cruise after running around parks for 3 days. For the 1st timer to WDW, 3 days wasn't enough for me. If I had a choice, I would have add 2-3 more days in front of my land trip.

I thought I would waste the morning before boarding to the ship. However, it's not. I was glad that the lady of DCL at the resort told us that the DCL bus would pick up at Animal Kingdom before 12:30pm. She recommended us to go there that morning and we did what she said. Yeah, we rushed through Animal Kingdom and didn't see all the show but we did the major rides so I think it's not too bad.
