Can agents still book Land and Sea Vacations or would I have to have them book 2 separate "vacations"? Thanks.

You are better off booking them separately. The WDW room might have a discount available which you can't get if booked through DCL.

You can book it all together through DCL. However as others mentioned, it’s usually better to book each part separately. I don’t know that there is any benefit if booking it all together.

Many years ago Disney had a wonderful combo “Park & Ship” deal. Your key card that opened your Disney hotel ALSO opened the door of your cabin. And your luggage would be picked up in your hotel room and magically appear in your cabin. Very seamless.

They still do the luggage part if you use their transportation. The keys aren't the same anymore, though.

We booked a land and sea package in 2005, when we 1st started out with DCL. Started going to the parks in 1996. I didn’t do enough research and since we were on a high veranda deck on the wonder, Disney booked us at the poly since it was technically the same category as the ship. If I would have booked separately I could have saved a whole lot of money. So like others have said book them separately.

DCL used to do this -- try to align "similar category" hotel and stateroom. But that isn't done anymore. However I agree it's still best to book them separately.

We just went from a Disney Resort to the ship last week using Disney transfers - first time doing that and while pricey I don't think I will do it another way ever again! I booked both separately but the ease of our luggage going from one to the next seamlessly and just stepping on a bus, stepping off and stepping on a ship was awesome! So I'd agree to book separately because you can usually find a discount for the resorts but IMO if you want an easy seamless transfer I would book the Disney transfers one way.
