Land-and-Sea Transportation questions

Hello all,

I am considering a land-and-sea package (3 nights at AKL, 4 nights on the Wonder) and was wondering how the transportation for this works...this is how I'm picturing it:

Disney bus picks us up from the airport, drops us off at AKL, picks us up to take us to Port Canaveral for the cruise, then picks us up after the cruise...do they take you directly to the airport at this point? Has anyone gone back to WDW after the cruise on the DCL bus?

Also, I should probably start a separate thread for this question, but I'll take my chances: has anyone extended the hotel portion of the package, or should that be done in a separate reservation? And if it is extended, how would that affect the transportation?

Sorry so many questions in one post! :earseek: Hopefully once these are answered I won't have too many more!

(FYI, I've been on a Disney Cruise before a few years ago, but it was cruise only, so I didn't experience the Disney transportation part of it.)

Basically, you picture it right....Airport. Dis bus to AKL....later AKL to port....after cruise, port to airport. There is a bus from the cruise to dis world (or probably several of them. Of course, then you will need to do Mears or whatever from Dis World back to the airport.

You can do DW before or after the cruise on the cruise transfers, but not both AND back to the airport. Make sense?
You can book extra park days as part of your original reservation. If you go to the parks before and after the cruise, one of them would be booked as the 7 day land and sea, the other would be a separate reservation. This MIGHT be a good deal for you, depending on what specials they were running at the time.

Luv Tigger,

I would also like to chime in and say we had a wonderful transport experience on our first land and sea. Everything was so magical, that we have another land and sea booked in just 54 days:hyper:

We do 4 day park/3 day cruise and stay at the Poly. When we arrived, we had a note in our room to call a certain # and select what we wanted to do on our "transitional" day. We choose to take a bus from the Poly to the AK, and spent a few hours there. Then, we caught the DCL bus to the port. It worked wonderfully.

We didn't do any extensions to our stay before or after, so I can't really comment on that.

A Land and Sea is a great way to do a little of everything. We just did a 7-day Eastern in Jan, so I think we will miss the extended cruise experience a little, but while we were on the Magic, we missed the Poly. I guess I would only be truly happy if I won the powerball and just lived on the ship and resorts:sunny:

we're doing land and sea in the summer...(3 days land at the GF, followed by 4 days sea)....
i can't wait!!!! :Pinkbounc
