Okay here is my thoughts:

Land and Sea trip: 3land/4sea
Day 1 - arrive -- start Land
Day 2 -Land
Day 3 - Land
Day 4 - Leave Land start Sea -- Day 1
Day 5 -- Sea
Day 6 - Sea
Day 7- leave Sea

Is that right.

So that would mean depending on when you arrived. You only do 2 full days on Land

And then you spend part of Land -- heading to head to start Sea.

Now if you are still following me. I am thinking of doing:

3 day Land -- Stay at Pop.
Then go to 4 day Sea.

I would be booking the Land part seperate.

Also I will buy at least 1 7 day Park Hopper on our upcoming trip. Then I would only have to buy another pass when we go.

What do you think does this make sense??

The 3 land/4 sea cruises are Thursday, Friday, Saturday on land, with a cruise departure on Sunday. So yes, depending on how early you get there on Thursday, you would have the rest of that day, all day Friday and Saturday, then (maybe) Sunday morning.

Grids showing days and times can be found at the link below:

We did the land and sea portions separately on our cruise last year and it worked out better for us. That's because we wanted a Saturday to Saturday trip with the land portion second, instead of Thursday to Thursday with the land portion first. The price was no more than we would have paid for the land/sea (and maybe a bit less). If you do your stay at POP, you'll probably do better than what you could do with a land/sea package.

Im not sure of what you are asking, but if you are booking the land and cruise separate, then you can arrive on any day. You can do more than 3 days land if you like. If you definitely are doing the 4 day cruise that leaves on Sunday, so you can figure out how many full days you want on land before or after that and book accordingly. And yes, you will head to the port on Sunday morning so you dont get much time in WDW that day.:D

We always arrive a day early at least so we can use the full day of the ultimate park hopper ticket that you get with the land/sea.
Most of the time we stay at a different hotel depending on the rates.

We also want more time at WDW, so what we have done is book the 3land/4sea (That is the only way we can justify the cost for us of AKL) As we don't arrive 'till at least 5 pm of the first day of our UPH we are staying the night before at POP and going over to AKL first thing in the morning. We're also staying one night after the cruise at POP 'cause we can't stand the thought of leaving the ship and rushing right home! An extra night at POP gives us time to maybe go to Kennnedy Space Centre and more importantly to do any last minute shopping at Downtown Disney and have a last meal with Disney.

I have the 3 day land/4 night sea package..but added 4 more days onto my package...3 days is never enough in Disney!!! I booked mine altogether thru my travel agent--not seperatly. We also have travel insurance and the baggage transfers as well as DCL transfers. Unlimited Park Hopper passes are included as well.
The only thing I booked seperately is my flight--I booked thru Delta.

Thanks Guys.

I am going to now start my search of how I want to do this. I apprecieate you all trying to help me figure that out.

I hope to never ask a question that confuses me while I type.

Depending on your family and what you will actually do, you can save major $ by using Park Hopper Plus passes instead of Ultimate Park Hoppers (that come if you book the land/sea package). For instance, we usually manage to get to the resort by about 3 pm if we fly in. IMHO, that's too late to spend a day of park admission since we are usually "off season" and the parks close early. So....we hit the pool, then do a character dinner at the Contemporary. DD gets the Disney experience, but not at the parks. Will you use park admission on the day you cruise? Again, we usually don't--we do breakfast at the Cape May Cafe, then head to the port.

With PHP, you still get admission to water parks, pleasure island, etc...just not unlimited.

Does anyone know if our Utlimate Park Hopper passes that we will get with our 3 day land, 4 day sea package will still be good on the day we leave the ship? I know they are good until the day you check out, but we have the land portion of our trip first (Thurs., Fri., Sat.) then the sea portion (Sunday. Mon., Tues., Wed. Thurs a.m.) Are the Utl. Park Hopper tickets still good on Thursdayafter we leave the ship?

I believe the park passes are only for the days you are at the resort, including your departure day(the day to go to board the ship). In other words from the time you arrive in WDW, until the time you leave WDW to get on the ship you can go to the parks, but not when you return from the cruise.

Does the 3 land/ 4 sea package come with a 3 day Ultimate Hopper Pass of a 4 day UHP?

It is a for length of stay, if you are doing the 3 day land, land/sea
you have basicly 4 days you can use your parkhopper pass.
However on the 4th day you have to board the ship so you cannot use it the entire day, just the morning.

It is for the length of stay, you cannot skip a day at the park and
then use that day after the cruise.
