I received one from my 19 yr old godchild. She gave me a hug and said, "I know it didn't cost much, but it is a reminder of what could of been." I cried, and wear it with humility every day for the people that actually have cancer in their lives.

Why?

I had a small polyp removed in Dec. 03. benign.

My 20-dd had a postive Pap smear, a leap done in July benign. She has to be checked every 4 months.

My 16 ds had a tumor in his jaw, just had surgery 2 weeks ago and they found a hard bone mass, which was benign also, but we have to go back every 3 months and have it x-rayed and watched.

Life is so scary.

Sorry for posting this, but I saw some Olympic athletes wearing them, and you just wonder what heart ache they have.

Oh Mari! You all have been lucky! I'm so glad. I wear my yellow band everyday because my dad is fighting prostate cancer. His is the agressive kind which will take his life.
It is a great reminder and the words stamped in it mean a lot to me "LiveStrong".

Thanks for sharing. Your Godchild was sweet to give you this.:)

Older DS wears one. I'm not if he wears it because one grandmother died of metastatic breast cancer (before he was born) & because the grandma he knows beat breast cancer recently, or if he just believes in the cause. I'll have to ask him.

Hang in there OhMari - as a family, you have had to deal with a lot!
