We are headed to Disney July 18-23rd. I have been unable to get a reservation for Lamplight Lounge for my family of 5 for any day or time. Has anyone in the parks had luck with day before cancelations? Any suggestions on going without a reservation? I’ve been trying but they filled up so quickly! Thank you!!

Couldn’t say but do make sure to check a day or two out. People will grab “just in case” reservations and then cancel around then so they aren’t charged the no-show fee.

They have been taking walk ins for the last few days. They will take your name and phone number and send you a text when your table is available. Upstairs seating has been more available than downstairs. You can state a preference when you put your name in.

I've been wondering this same thing! We have a larger party of 8 and are looking for a dinner reservation the last week of August. So far I haven't been able to get one. :(

I went on June 27th and had a a reservation. There was a huge crowd for walk ups. I found it’s more of a share apps kind of place then an entree place. I had three 17 year olds with me and we sat outside on huge comfy chairs with a low table and they loved it.

This is good to know. Did you sit up stairs or downstairs? And with your reservation--do you get to choose where you would like to sit? I understand the menu is different if you are up or down stairs, is that right?

Yes I would love to hear from any one else who did a walk up/wait list at LL. I had a LL lunch res for late July but have had to move my trip up by two weeks unexpectedly. So of course there are no reservations now open for mid July. Just wondering if it is worth it to try a walk up.

I did a walk in yesterday (6/30). The line began to form a little after 10 am for 11 am opening. They created 2 lines: one for upstairs, and the other for downstairs. Upstairs you can only get the appetizers and drinks. Downstairs you have access to the whole menu. People with reservations are seated first, with the first one beginning at 11 am. They began taking our names down at about 10:50. I was the 2nd party in line, so I was seated at 11:05. Since I was solo, I decided to sit upstairs so I wasn't taking up space for those with people, plus I had sat down there before already.

When I went on opening day with a reservation, they gave my friend and I the option for upstairs or downstairs, so we chose downstairs. That was about a 10 minute wait. In my opinion, downstairs is better than up. You have a larger variety of food choices, and you really see the pixar decorations down there.

Walk ins are doable, but the shortest wait seemed to be earlier on. They are also getting more organized with the lines. Opening day it was a little confusing. When I was sitting at the bar area, the line wrapped around, but I noticed it quickly dwindled down. Plus if you go early, you know for a fact that there are tables available, rather than later when people are sitting for a while.

Thanks so much. This is very helpful.

We sat downstairs and yes, the menu is different. I asked to sit in the shade was my only request and was put outside under the cover. Highly recommend asking for an outside spot.

Only downstairs

Edit: adding the menu link. The bites section and all of the drinks are available upstairs. Downstairs is bites, plus the other items (including kids menu). They have it marked on their menu.

Thanks. Stitch has eaten the page so many times over the last week when I was trying to look at menus or other dining stuff on the website, that I didn't even check there this morning when I had my question. Of course the menus are working now. :-) Figured someone here would know too though.

LOL you’re welcome! Stitch ate the page for me too, so I never saw the menu before going. I replied to your comment, then noticed the menu was working, so I went back and added it :)
