My family is taking a California road trip this June, and we had planned on visiting Universal for a day instead of Disneyland for a change of pace. But with the announcement of Bug’s Land closing, we have decided to change plans to visit DCA to ride Heimlich’s one last time (and to see PTN, which is my favorite).
We are already locked into our schedule, since we had to reserve a campsite in Yosemite back in January and there’s no way to switch our dates around. If I had known we’d be visiting Disney, I would have planned better to be able to visit after Pixar Pier opened to check out all of the new additions.
I was so bummed to hear that Cove Bar was closing and am excited to try Lamplight Lounge (especially now that they’ve confirmed the lobster nachos will be available). I was wondering if they ever do “soft openings” for new restaurants. I know that they sometimes open the food and wine booths a day or two earlier than the official start, but what are the odds that the lounge will be open earlier (specifically a week early). Anyone have any insight?
