I only had a chance to go to the Cove Bar one time but really enjoyed the view of the water and roller coaster. How is LL downstairs? Do you just feel like you're inside a cool restaurant or does it have a good view of the big wheel and water? The menu looks great, do you prefer brunch or lunch/dinner? Thanks

Ambiance downstairs is great, at least outside (I haven’t been seated inside). This was our view from downstairs. (Never posted a photo before, hopefully it works)

Ambience is one of the very best things about LL. Inside it feels like the Pixar animator's favorite hang out - like a club for those who really know their Pixar lore. Tons of details and Easter Eggs woven throughout the decor and menu. It's plain fun and the indoor-outdoor feel is inviting as the back wall of the bar is basically open to the expanse of the pier. I've enjoyed lunch and dinner (never brunch) and can recommend several items - lobster nachos (natch), potato skins, piggy wings, tuna poke, salmon PLT, burger are all very good. Stay away from the ratatouille which was swimming in sauces and inedible. Mixed drinks there are generally are too sweet for my palate so I stick with wine.

It's wonderful! We wait for a table by the railing and sit right at the waters edge. It's a different, but no worse perspective of PP. With all the sights and sounds , plus a "Mickey's Fun Wheel" in your hand, it's one of the best spots to relax in either park.

Great, thank you for the replies! In your opinions, it's worth it to ask to sit outside by a railing? We're going in January, is it still nice out there if it's chillier?

That's a tough question. There are heaters up high around the perimeter of the bar (and maybe elsewhere?) so if it's cold and you sit nearer to the bar itself, it's warmer. The stools and table are taller than next to the railing so the view isn't bad. It would also depend on whether there's a breeze.
Honestly, I haven't been there when it's cold though.

We went at lunchtime in February. We were seated in the middle of the room in big comfy chairs. We could have asked for outdoor seating but it was too chilly for us. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was wonderful. The decor is really great with lots of little details. Wanted to give a second shout out to the tuna poke. Best i've ever had!
