I'm thinking of a project that will require using a re-writable surface, rather than reprinting the paper project weekly for a fresh start. Are regular laminating sheets compatible with dry-erase markers?

Our hot laminator at school you can use dry erase markers on it. If we leave them on awhile sometimes we have to use rubbing alchol to take them off. Actually permenant markers will come off laminated material but it takes a lot more work.

The teachers at our school have used the clear plastic page protectors.. than just put in 8.5 X 11 cardstock in and the kids uses them in class.. they are really nice...

This is a smaller project, credit card size, but thanks for the suggestion. I'd like the paper to be reusable rather than disposable.

I found a page that I laminated last summer and tested the dry-erase pens I have. I left the ink on the page overnight and it erased cleanly with the built-in eraser and didn't leave stains. Looks like I'm set. Thanks for your suggestions.

I laminated a weekly test schedule to keep track of my son's test dates. The dry erase markers work well, but as mentioned above sometimes leave a color residue if they are left on, and the rubbing alcohol does take it right off.

In case any one needs to know, Sharpie can be removed by using dry-erase cleaner off most surfaces.
