Good news on two fronts...both perfect for brides!
#1 you can call or email to get a tile at EPCOT Leave a Legacy...words only though. I will post the email I rec'd below.
#2 You can now buy a brick on front of MK! They are filling in the empty spots. Good news? You will be able to purchase one now and show your kids later. Bad news? $295! PM me if you want that info...I have to find it.
Here is the email about the LaL at EPCOT:
Thank you for expressing an interest in participating in the Leave a Legacy program. Here we have provided our general purchasing information.
Leave A Legacy has two types of tiles. We have a picture tile (1 or 2 people per image) and we have a graphic/text tile. The cost of a tile is $25 for the first and $20 for each additional tile. The photograph for the picture tile has to be taken here at Epcot using our specialized cameras; however, a graphic/text tile can be created at Epcot or via phone or e-mail.
We can put multiple tiles on the sculpture as a group (together), and we do group graphic/text tiles and picture tiles together. We have two types of graphic/text tiles to choose from. We have the border tile, which allows for up to 6 lines of text with 9 characters per line. And we have the clip art tile, which allows for either: 1 line above the clip art; 1 line below the clip art; or 1 line above and 1 line below, with each having 12 characters per line. Spaces and punctuation are considered characters, and all text is centered and capitalized. If the graphic/text option interests you, we can e-mail you a file attachment of our border and graphic clip art options.
We do have certain stipulations in doing the graphic/text tile. Unfortunately, group or club names, company names, names of Disney characters, bridge dates (1942-2005), and political or religious references are not allowed. We are also not allowed to use the words "in loving memory of" or any time of memorial. Although you can leave a graphic/text tile for your loved ones that have passed on, we prefer for you to speak of the essence of the life and the joy they had seen as this is supposed to be a Living Legacy.
Please contact us and we will help you design a tile that meets these guidelines.
It normally takes 4 to 6 months for the etched panel to be received and mounted, and 6 to 8 weeks for you to receive your certificate of completion in the mail. Your certificate will have a copy of the image at the top and the location address of your Leave A Legacy tile on the sculpture at the bottom. Our international guests receive their certificates within 10 to 12 weeks. Please note that if you do not remember to bring your certificate with you on your next vacation, you will always be able to look yourself up in our look-up computer in Epcot.
