We have friends staying in teh Hawthorn Suites on Pam Parkway this year. It's their first trip.

Can anyone advise the better route into WDW ? The shortest routes takes you along Hotel Plaxa Blvd then DTD but that's traffic light alley.

Anyone think the roundabout route via I4 and the Parkway is better ? Maybe the short route for TL, DTD and Epcot while the longer route for the other attractions ?

We've never stayed in LBV so not sure.

We almost always stay at LBV, never considered any other way only Hotel Plaza Blvd past DTD, never had any problems going this way, yes odd time takes a while for lights to change but any other route seems a long way around.

Just had a quick look on my Satnav From LBV to AKL Shortest route would be Hotel Plaza Blvd (19 mins, 8 miles) fastest route I4 & Osceola Parkway (17 mins, 8 miles)
I would say next to nothing in it to AKL/AK but thats because its the easiest place to get to from Oceola Parkway(right at the end of it), the other parks I would say Hotel plaza Blvd is the better route.

Well I guess they could just stay going south on the 535, takes you under the I4 and then go West (so turning right) on to the 536 - which is a major traffic light junction, can't miss it (it then takes you back under the I4 again).

This brings you on property where the Old Key West 'Tower' is if you know what I mean? Turn left there and you're on the same road they would have been if coming via DTD. That would let them avoid all the traffic lights and traffic but only time I'd really consider that better is on a night time after the parks start to close as DTD can get a little more congested then.

Thanks guys.

Thought you'd be along when you saw the title Wayne. I know LBV is your preferred location.

Think I'll just tell them to stick to the Hotel Plaza / DTD route.
