Lake Buena Vista and Spa...where to book??

I've found comparable prices on the major travel sites (Expedia, Travelocity, etc) to owners on vrbo/homeaway. Who have you booked through??

Hi, I was on VRBO dot com, several options for owners to rent from for this resort, with great reviews! I am considering this one as well.

Are you talking about Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa? The one with the big pirate ship in the pool?

If so, I got the best rate by booking through Chase "Ultimate Rewards" using my Chase credit card. You can pay with points or cash (if you have a Chase card). Alternately, try calling the resort directly. When I did that, they offerred me rate very similar to the lowest rates I was seeing online.

But, I didn't not look at all into renting through owners.

Sorry for jumping in on your post but can you tell me how far this is from dtd or disney (we don't want a car and we will have little children with us)

Hi Last1973 - this will be our first visit at this resort, so I can't speak from experience. There are a lot of interesting reviews for this resort on TripAdvisor including experiences using the shuttle. Here is what the resort website has to say about the shuttle:

WDW looks to be about a 15 min drive from the resort. So, it might not be too bad to take a cab for those times when the shuttle isn't convenient. We are renting a car because with 2 little kids (youngest is 3), I think we need the flexibility.
