Hi Guys
Any idea how much a taxi will be to the eating places at crossroads from downtown disney thanks.

maybe around $8 depending on traffic and if you get stuck at all the red lights

It's a 10 minute walk and there are pavements and a crossing

We always walk from LBV to DTD and back if we want to shop or go to the cinema it's a great walk out!! Just keep to the main road out of Down Town Disney along Hotel Plaza Boulevard and cross at the Crossroads junction on the left hand side and walk up to Denny's its really easy and very enjoyable there are plenty of pedestrian crossings to keep you safe!! You can even see some birds and flowers and at the junction there's a pond where a turtle lives with ducks etc. Enjoy!!

I've checked Buena Vista via Google Earth and the distance between both doesn't look all that far.

Would you recommend walking back during the nightime though?

I've also heard that if you book taxi's via your hotel's reception the price charged is higher. Is that fact or fiction Cheryl?

We were staying in the County Inns and Suites at LBV and I found it dearer to get reception to call a taxi and so got a card from the yellow taxi company and phoned from the room to book. Usually by the time I went from room to the front door the taxi would be there.

First morning we decided to go to Animal Kingdom and as we had missed the first courtesy bus to Epcot I got reception to phone for a taxi for us and the taxi driver spun us a yarn about taking us to MK and then we could get the monorail to AK, fortunately I knew we couldn't. I reported this to the hotel on our return as any newbie to Orlando would assume the taxi driver knew what he was talking about.

We walked about a bit at LBV between shopping areas at night and found it okay
