'Lake' between US & IOA

Help me out here please! I recall a 'lake' with boats between the 2 parks in front of the restaurants (not Citywalk). Can you ride the boats? Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

The boats go to the hotle( Royal Pacific, Hard rock hotel and can't remember the other) i don't think you can just ride them??

During most times, anyone can ride the boats to check out the hotels.
