Friday July 26
Plan was to get to MK at rope drop, so we bought a box of donuts at the hotel store and ate at the bus stop. Into MK at opening and WOW. Snow White was right there. Yippee. Double Yippee - we're the last family. On up the street for more pics with Peter Pan.
Did FantasyLand. Samee sure Loved Peter Pan. Probably her favorite ride today. Did the Haunted Mansion. Sarah said the guy working wasn't nearly as good as Safari Steve. When we asked her what she meant, she said that this one didn't elaborate enough. Only told us to get into the Dead Center of the Room. She said that the other guy (Safari Steve) said it better, and then told everyone to get very uncomfortable. She said it was better then.
Samee did fine until the heads started popping out of the graves. At the end of the ride she said "that ride was probably too scary for me" I kid you not. I cracked up!
Back to Fantasyland and got Fastpasses for Peter Pan, and on to Belle's storytime. We were lucky and got her autograph afterward. This was really cute, and a great photo op. Especially for the kids who were chosen to be part of the story! Ours weren't, but it was fun anyway. We went to the villains area and got several photos / autographs. Of course the most memorable was Cruella DeVil. Samee went up to her and asked her what her name was. She told her to leave, walk out the gate, since she didn't know who she was. Samee looked at me like HUH? It was pretty funny.
Rode Peter Pan on the FastPasses. We did Country Bear Jamboree... Samee liked it, I guess Sarah did too. I slept. Walked through Adventureland and lo and behold Genie walks up right in front of us. WOW. More pics and autograph.
It was later than we had hoped, and Sarah wanted to ride Space again, so we decided to do e-nite. Bought tickets on the way out of the park. Hopped the monorail to the Contemporary and rode up front (got our little liscences). Caught the bus to DTD. This was a mistake. We were tired. It was Icky. Yuck. We did build a pin with the fireworks, Ariel, Tink and Jasmine with Sarah's name engraved on it. We then headed to the other end. We were going to turn in the stroller, but the people at the stroller rental there assured us we could take it into Disney Quest, or it would be no problem to leave it outside Disney Quest. Well we had signed away our lives when renting it and so I was concerned. You guessed it. Got to Disney Quest and had to leave it outside.
We needed to eat. It was 3:00 and we were starving. The food was good, but the line was the slowest moving line of the entire trip. It took 20 + minutes to serve the three people in front of us. NOT HAPPY! We rode the family raft ride (Jungle Cruise?) then Pirates ride. The Jungle Cruise was fun but more work than I wanted to put in. The Pirates was fun, but not worth the wait and we needed more gunners than two. Frank and Sarah built a coaster and rode it, while Samee and I tried to occupy ourselves. It wasn't possible. I think they need a room where we could sit and watch a movie or something. They had areas to get on the internet, but every one was taken.
Frank and Sarah rode the Comix while Samee and I went to get dessert and drinks. We then called it a day. Went outside and you guessed it, the stroller that they said would be fine in stroller parking was very gone. Went to the stroller rental area and had it out with them. They wanted to know who told me I could take it in Disney Quest. After many irate and pointed comments from me, they took care of it.
We hopped a bus to the Contemporary but somehow ended up at TTC instead. Oh well... Monorail to MK. E-tickets onto wrists and into the Emporium. The girls had to have those battery powered spinning things. As we went to purchase them, the event I knew was going to happen that day did. We hit the limit on the room credit. Quick call to the hotel and BOOM new credit good to go.
Went to Jungle Cruise and with a 50 minute wait time and the parade coming we decided to grab FP's. (ended up chunking them later). We had been told by a CM at the tip board that the best place was to watch from across from Splash Mountain at the end of the parade route. We arrived around 8:15 - 8:20 and snagged a seat on the low wall running along Pecos Bill Cafe. This is perfect. The parade prep CM's told us we had to stay seated there, and noone was allowed to either sit or stand in front of us. WOOHOO!!! The parade was feet from you. The kids munched on hot dogs and we enjoyed the only time that day not rushing to do something.
The parade was great. Then we rushed to Fantasyland thinking we could MAYBE get the carousel in. We were on the last ride of the day, then we lucked out and made it on Pooh one last time. Exited to the fireworks going off. But... our night wasn't over. On to TommorrowLand and E-nite.
After a break and the walk we got there around 10:30. We all rode Buzz, then Sarah and Frank went to Space Mountain. They rode three times. Samee and I did Buzz over and over again (probably 7 times just the two of us). The CMs recognized us now. Frank and Sarah caught up with us and I had something to brag about 341,400 points on BUZZ!! I beat Frank's high score!!!! We rode three more times, switching up partners each time.
Then, we headed to the castle to take night pics, and guess what. Mickey and Minnie Mouse were out for a late night photo session with e-night guests. We got our pics taken with them together. HOW RARE! We ambled through the Emporium and bought a few shirts and hobbled back to the bus. Arrived at the room a little after 1 am. We have a PS at Park Faire at 9:10... I must have been insane!
