Laguna Beach..... I'm embarrassed!

That's what I thought, then I was at work on day and I get a call from DH at home ROTFL because TiVo just turned the channel to tape it. I was so busted. I have no idea why I watch it, just like I have no idea why I watch Las Vegas. They are both really bad.

Two words as to why I watch Las Vegas: Josh Duhamel. Smokin hot!

Go ahead and add my name to the list of sheepish Laguna Beach viewers. It IS like a train wreck. You don't want to watch but you can't look away!

DH teases me about watching it by asking if I want him to run up to Wal Mart and buy some of those tiny little Cokes for me and my "little friends" :rotfl2:

That's pretty funny, but what's funnier is the fact that if he is in the same room with me while I'm watching, all of a sudden he's VERY interested in who everyone is and what their story is. :teeth:

Same here. He was the only person I know who I could say, 'Guess who Kimberley Stewart supposedly got engaged to? Talan!' and they know who Talan is. :rotfl:

He likes to make fun of what they name their kids in LB. Dieter, Talan, LC, Lo, etc...

Laguna Beach is over, so you can catch the reruns for the next 10 months. I think new shows start in June.

I'm SO addicted to Laguna Beach!!! Last year when the first season premiered, DBF and I both decided we had to watch it, and then we would call eachother during the commercials (then we lived an hour from eachother). And we just kept saying- OMG this show is the worst thing I've ever seen. It's kind of boring and really just annoying to see these kids throw away money. Then.... we couldn't stop watching! :rotfl:

We tuned in every freaking week, and have watched all of the second season. We didn't have cable for a MONTH when we first moved in to our apt (gotta love Cox Communications  ) and so I had the first season on DVD (which I of course bought a day after it came out at Target) and we would play the first season all the time. Constantly for a month... we figured that it was just like watching MTV since all they do is show the same stuff all the time :rotfl2:

DBF told me not to tell anyone I had bought season 1 because the show was for high school kids. Then I somehow mentioned the show in front of his sister (34 years old and married) and she just started GUSHING about the show. It was soooo funny :rotfl:

I'm going to a concert (Fall Out Boy, Gavin DeGraw, Lifehouse, etc) in December and the Laguna Beach crew is also making an appearance! I can't wait!! :cool1:

Also, my friend went to Las Vegas recently (w/in the last few weeks) for her sister's 30th birthday. She's NOT a Laguna fan (in fact, just the opposite). The only show she's seen was with me when she made the mistake of stopping by my apt on a Monday night. She was in a store in LV and saw people buying clothes (1 man, 2 women) and it seemed like they were "dressing someone". She thought it must be someone famous because hey- it's Vegas. She asked, and they said they couldn't tell her who, but it was someone from Laguna Beach. They finally they told her it was Kristin (the only one she remembered from the show). She went back to her hotel after (NY NY) and there they were! She said it was Kristin and "3-4 other annoying girls". I can't believe Kristin has people out buying expensive clothes FOR her! :earseek:
Oh wait... I can believe it

I hate to say it, but I am really looking forward to watching the spin off with Lauren.

Me too, andn worse, I really like Kristin. Sorry, but I do!

I love this show! I'm really embarrassed to ask DH for the dvd for Christmas though  . Are there any good extras on it for those who have it?

I think the spinoff show with Lauren looks good too. I'm sure I'll be watching both of them :) .

The extras were not as good as I had expected. LC's house tour was amazing (more amazing since I watched it before season 2 came out and we actually got to see her new house). The deleted scenes were pretty "eh" but the casting tapes were pretty interesting. It's pretty good, the price isn't high for the set so I don't really weigh on the bonus features.

Target has it on sale on black friday for $17.88. Pretty cheap!! If you're embarassed to ask DH, you could always buy it for yourself as an early xmas present :flower:

Also, if you want to see some of the house tours and extra footage, it's available online at overdrive.mtv.com, AND if you don't have a fast enough computer to view it, on our digital cable on demand under cable favorites, and then MTV, there are all the overdrive episodes. I watched them all last weekend. Pretty cool, and Free! Plus, I think there is a little more on them then what's online ;)

I am also embarrassed to say that I am a LB watcher, too! DH thinks I am crazy!

I used to feel embarrassed about watching it until I overheard my 30+ year old male co-worker gushing about it.

An old friend of my younger DS's had some of his music played during a recent episode & may have another partial song on another episode. (My son hit his longest High School Home Run off this kid!)
Haven't caught an episode of this show yet - haven't ventured over to MTV in years!
