Lagoon or MK view at POLY?

This is the first time I'll be staying on site, and the first time DH and DS (2) will be going to WDW. Right now I'm booked for a lagoon view, but DH thinks we should do MK view since we'll be tied down to our room a lot more at night because of DS. Is it worth it to upgrade? Tell me your experiences and what longhouse you stayed in.

I think you'll get more responses if you repost on the main Resorts board.

Both views are great! The castle is fairly distant across the water and there is an island between the Poly and the MK. If money is not a problem I'd go with the MK view as you can watch Wishes from your room. However I'd stick with the Lagoon View if the cost worries you at all.

I loved our MK view. At the time, it was either Lagoon or Garden view.
These are oldies, but goodies...

Last time we stayed in the Hawaii longhouse (2005), it was strictly concierge (gardenview or lagoonview concierge). Unless something's changed, that's still the case -- Just didn't want anyone reading this hoping for the Hawaii longhouse (which is fabulous by the way !!!!) if they aren't booked concierge/club-level . . . unless there's been a change, which is certainly a possibility with Disney.
