Ladybug release at Poly?

Obscure question here...
We stayed at the Polynesian years ago and I remember them releasing the ladybugs in the morning. Anyone know if they still do this and if there's a way to find out when/where? My son would LOVE to see it, and we're thinking about breakfast at the Poly during our trip in December.

Not sure about the lady bug release at the Poly but we were just down for the Flower and Garden Festival and they used to do a lady bug release in the afternoon and they did not do it this year. We asked a CM and he said they did not get any lady bugs from California. Not sure why they come from there but he said it was not being done this year.

As far as things they do at the Poly, were were there for dinner in 'Ohana and they do a torch lighting ceremony at 6:00 each evening. There is a drummer and a guy lights all the torches in the front of the resort and there is alittle ceremony. It was very interesting and fun. We were also there on a Saturday morning and there were hula lessions in the lobby. Not sure if they do this every Saturday or the 3rd Saturday of the month but it was really enjoyable. They picked my 20 year old stepson to join them at the end and he just loved it.

When we stayed at Wilderness Lodge or Grand Floridian, I'm pretty sure I saw info about a ladybug release as well. Have you tried contacting the resorts directly? They may have more details.

I second this advice. The best source of info for resort-specific events is always going to be the resort itself. I also remember some sort of ladybug release at WL the last time we were there, but not the Poly.

If the lady bug release is at the WL now and you are staying at the Poly - head over to the WL and join in. You do not have to be staying there to take advantage of their activities.

Mother nature does a ladybug release at my house daily for a few months every year. If I never see another one, it'll be too soon!
