Ladies, would you wear a white jean jacket in the Fall?

I bought a white jean jacket from J Jill last Spring, that I absolutely love. Its perfect for the New England weather right now. I actually went back to the store tonight and ordered a denim jacket identical to it, (they're not carrying it the store right now, just online) just because I thought white wasn't the right color for Fall. But for pete's sake, its jean material and it sure feels great at night and when its cool! So I need to know ladies, it this a no no or what??

I personally would not, but then again, I wouldn't wear a white denim jacket in the spring, summer or winter! Don't get me wrong, I don't think there's anything wrong with anyone wearing one - quite the opposite, I don't do that whole "no white" rule anytime. I just don't like the way I look in any kind of white denim. If you like the way you look in it, wear it any season!

The rules for white for me is no white bottom or shoes. I've never heard not wearing a white top... after all what would you do with all the white blouses!

So, if you are wearing the jacket with khaki's or the like, I wouldn't bat an eye at it. I've seen pretty white sweaters in the fall so I think a white top is perfectly fine

When you really think about it, it seems like kind of a dumb rule anyway.

Someone forgot to teach me all of these "rules" when I was growing up.

If I want to wear white shoes/pants/jackets I am going to wear them, no matter what time of year it is. Now you've got me wondering if all of the fashion police are laughing at me and snickering as I walk down the street. I'll have to check!!

Like I care anyhow!! I think the jacket sounds like a favorite of the OP, and in that case, I think she should wear it anytime she pleases.

Just in case anyone was interested in looking at this particular jacket, its on the JJill website, but make sure you click on the reduced items. Its last Springs jacket, it was 78.00, its now only 39.00, but I opened a CC (I paid it right then and there, and will cut it up when I get it, just wanted to get the 20% off) to get the discount. So in the end, I only paid 31.00. Pretty good, ha? I am tall, but I like short jackets, so I ordered a petite.
