either yourself or professionally. Do you ever do a drastic change and how did that work out? I have naturally light brown hair with blonde and red highlights and I've been coloring it (myself) to be a touch lighter for months now. The last time I went just a touch darker (so more to my natural color). The new color that I got is pretty dark brown with a hint of red in it.

If you've ever done a drastic change, did you ever feel silly completely changing your hair color?

I have mine done professionally and have done several drastic changes and I have always loved them. In fact I am considering a fairly drastic change again really soon.

Let's see...I've been blonde, red and brunette is the last two years. I've also had super-short hair which I've grown out to shoulder length in the process.

Yeah, I am a big fan of drastic changes.

Go for it!! I've been every color of the rainbow. Have I regretted some of it. Maybe once or twice, but you can all ways change it in a couple of days.

I stay in the brown family all the time, alternating according to the seasons from light brown to dark brown, I am a brunette and am not into "drama"...:) However, my teenager daughter just went from platinum blonde to dark brown and she LOVES it. She told me she needed a change and couldn't stand the constant upkeep anymore of the blonde.

I personally have no problem with any color hair, from traditional shades to teenagers with green and blue hair. It can always be fixed and think its great for people who can be so brave.

I have done both professionally and I have been a kitchen magician as well. Currently Im having my hair done by a pro at a salon. My hair has been the entire rainbow over the years. Naturally Im a highlighted brown. When I was younger I used to go lighter and have been every blond possible. Have been platinum at one time. Its a shock to look back and see my hair so light. I have even went the totally other way and have jet black hair. I have have been a blond, brunette, and red head. Hightlights, lowlights, tints, full color, weaves. Ive done chunky streaks, two tones, natural looking ones too. Usually my color depends on the length and style of my hair and what season im in. So I change it often. I dont feel silly for changing it all the time. Its hair. If I dont like it, I can change it again or let it grow out. Currently, my hair is red with a lighter reddish brown highlights.

My feelings exactly. I have been black to very bright red. I have never tried blonde, but am considering it.

my natural color now is ugly grey, so I have been coloring it for many years. Right now I am a light golden blond and people tell me this is a good color for me. Several years ago I went with a darker brown. It was awful. I would go by mirrors and have to do a double take it was so drastic. I will pretty much stick with the blond family for now. My DD is a white blond and so it makes my blond more believable!

I always get in done in a salon. My hair is naturally brown. I have highlights put in every couple months. I love it. In the summer, I go lighter and in the winter I go darker (with lowlights). I have colored my hair blonde and red and black too. For me, closest to my natural color has worked out best. Red (not Lucille Ball red, but an auburn red) was the worst on me and I changed it back within 3 days.

Good luck! I would recommend going into a salon for a consultation and ask them what they would suggest for your hair. If you like them, then schedule an appointment. That's how I found the salon I'm in now! :)
