My DH is actually taking more pairs of shoes than I on this cruise!

He's justified, since he needs black shoes for dress nights and brown shoes for casual. Whereas, I came across (on sale) these great pair of black mules that pretty much cover my entire dress shoe needs!

If you're like me, you understand what a personal achievement this feels like for me! (lol)

A man with more shoes than a women, oh my god what's the world coming too! No really that is great. I wish I could find one pair of shoes to match all my dresses. But I am wearing all light colored dresses and I hate white dress shoes. So I have to have a pair for each color dress:eek: I also have a pair of simple black also. But with the tennis shoes, casual sandals, water shoes and lets see four pair of dress sandals, I need a suit case just for shoes:(

You lucked out only having to bring one pair of dress shoes. With four of us going (3 of us are girls ), I'm afraid to count how many shoes we'll have! I'm sure my preteen will have plenty!

I loved the picture, I guess that I'm not alone, kind of looks like my bedroom.

LOL....another shoe addict here! I'm still considering which shoes to bring...and how many pairs I'll need! :)

I just pulled out my 6 yr. old's dress shoes that I just bough before Christmas and realized they probably aren't going to fit. They are 1 1/2's and he's wearing a 3 right now

Time for more last minute shopping!

mmouse37 that picture is to funny.

I take about 5 pairs of dress shoes and end up wearing my flip flops with everything except my formal wear.

I was thinking that on our next 7 day cruise we will have to take a bag just for all of our shoes! We have 'swim/beach' shoes for 4, flip flops for 4 (to wear up to the pool), tennis shoes for 4, and dress shoes for 4. Doesn't seem unreasonable at all, but it will still take up a lot of room! That is 16 pairs of shoes.

...that is HILARIOUS!!
Loved your trip reports and pics, too, by the way.
We will be bringing our adult kids ( DS-22 & DD-25) on our cruise this Oct. to celebrate our 30th:)

Your family seemed to have such a great time...I was a little worried that the kids in that age group might be a bit jaded for Disney:(

But looking at your pics made realize what a great ime they're gonna have:D

With 4 of us going on 7 day I'm counting a minimum of 20 pair!

4 water shoes
4 flips (pool)
4 sandals
4 tennies
4 dress

Of course that isn't including riding boots (DD INSISTS she has to have them to ride at Cozumel - we're still negotiating), probably more than one pair of something. Oh NO! It might take a whole suitcase for the shoes. :( GROAN!

LOL, mmouse37, You needed a shoe bag for the shoes, forget the bathroom stuff!

Seriously ladies, try a dress sandal in beige or tan, blends with your feet and legs and will go with all the dresses, makes your legs look longer in a short cocktail dress. I usually take a pair of Tevas, good for sandals, hiking, deck, sand. Then a beige dressy sandal. But I agree, the mens' shoes take up so much more room. I have to pack for three guys, and I only allow two pairs each. For the next cruise I am already on the lookout for shoes for my boys, maybe black suede skimmers that they can use as tennies and for dressing up. Their shoes on our first cruise looked pretty ratty in the full length formal portraits. The best looking one was where DS 8 wore his black sandals with black socks! Hmmm....I wonder how DH would feel about black flip-flops and black socks.... Or bare feet and black shoe polish...

Loretta....our older teens absolutely love cruising on Disney....they like it so much than WDW....they are not Disney fanatics by any means...just love the whole cruise experience.

My DD19 and her two college roomates are joining us on our 5/17 Eastern cruise and they are all so excited!!!!

My two nieces 21 and 20 came with us on our 1/4 Magic cruise and had the time of their lives. I love seeing younger adults having a great time with Disney...it proves there is something for everyone onboard!!!

MJ-
That's great!
My kids are excited abouth the cruise, Ijust was hoping they'd like what we like.

Now I think they'll find their own fun on the ship and the ports, and will have a blast!

We are on the Eastern and we are all looking foward to some snorkel/scuba fun on the islands.
