When we go I have limit of $50 -$60 for myself to spend on a souvenier for me. . but there are some things I would love to get, but just cant.

For instance, I would love a Dooney & Bourke Disney purse and all of the Alex and Anni bangles.

So ladies, what expensive items ( around $200 - $500) do you wish you could purchase from Disney (or maybe some of you have, what did you get ?)

I love getting stuff that I can use all the time that has the Disney flair. I have a Dooney purse that I got at DLR and love -- it was definitely an investment, but it's super durable and looks new three years after I bought it.

And last summer I bought some sunglasses that are probably my favorite souvenir ever. They are limited edition Ray-bans and are black on the outside with a black & white Mickey pattern on the inside. I think they were around $175 but I got my AP discount so that helped. I literally wear them every day and most people don't notice the Mickeys, but I know they're there!! And I haven't seen them on the website or anywhere else.

I have also seen some cool jewelry that is more subtle (Mickey charms, etc.) that I'd love to have, and I love many of the watches they sell although I rarely wear one so it's not practical.

For me I'd rather splurge on something I can use all the time than a t-shirt that I won't wear much after my visit.

Those sunglasses are awesome!

I too would love a Dooney & Bourke Disney purse and now those Pandora charms have got me interested!

Just a tad dearer than your suggested $200 - $500, THAT Castle....the real expensive beautiful one, think it was a smidge over $35,000....we can dream can't we...lol

There is a tink charm I would love for my necklace that is around $250, real diamond Mickey ear earrings instead of the April birthstone ones I bought and some Pandora charms are at the top of my list. Subtle disney in my every day life.

I was at DL for my birthday last month. DH told me to point out some jewelry I would like as a gift. I saw a pair of gold dangly Mickey earrings in a case at the World of Disney store. So I asked a CM if she could tell me how much they cost. She took them out of the case, looked at the tag on the bottom of the box and said, "They cost one." So I'm thinking $100?" Maybe a little more than I might spend, but it was my 50th bday and DH wanted to get me something nice. So I said, "One-hundred?" The CM said, "No, one-thousand!" I was shocked! The CM said they were 14 carat gold and had diamonds on them. So I looked really, really closely and did see a few diamond chips. But $1000 for a pair of earring? No way!

We kept looking and found a pair of sterling silver Mickey earring at The Emporium. I braced myself for the price, but they were only $45 and I'm very happy with them. I would like to have some really nice Disney jewelry, but even if price were no object, I wouldn't spend $1000 on earrings.

I got the Mickey RayBans with the Mickey print on the outside. Didn't know they were limited. Very cool!

What store did you get the sunglasses???!!! Love them!!

Hmmm....I would love a Dooney or a Harvey's bag (currently my latest obsession!) LOL. :goodvibes

Cute sunglasses!! Last time we were there I got one of the Minnie Mouse Harvey purses. Oh I loved that thing...and of course found out I was pregnant 3 weeks later. :P I ended up selling it because all I carry now is diaper bags!! But I would love to get another one!

I'm not sure where in DL they would be sold, but I know in WDW they have an art store with huge disney paintings. I would LOVE to have an original painting of a favorite movie or character for our home. I also wouldn't mind going nuts in kitchen/homewares. That sort of stuff is more my speed, I'm not big into jewelry or anything. :)

Me too, exactly!! :thumbsup2

I got the sunglasses at World of Disney in Downtown Disney (DLR) - I didn't see them anywhere else but I didn't really look either :). I bought them in August and actually saw some cast members wearing them too.

Totally my friend's pic of me!

I got mine on Main Street at WDW in September. It was the store that sells the Dooneys, jewelry, watches, etc. Another friend was at WDW looking for a pair in December & couldn't find them anywhere. I thought they were just sold out because of the holidays coming up. Hopefully there will be more Disney RayBans! I would buy more!

I got myself a really nice snow globe last year. The castle is inside it, and when you wind it, it plays "when you wish upon a star". It was about $45 IIRC.

Mt husband bought me a Mickey watch on my birthday trip a couple of years ago. I wear it every day.

What I'd really like to get is one of the big Dooney shopper totes. The price tag scares me off, but I imagine that one of these days I'll get over it and go home with it.

Definitely the Alex & Ani bracelets - I'm OBSESSED with them. I usually pick one up everywhere I travel.

Last year, I bought myself the Mickey bangle that resembles Mickey's Fun Wheel. One of the littles brought me back the Cinderella Castle bangle from WDW, so that was a fun treat!

I just wish they'd do more 3D charm bangles and not just the flat charms, like a 3D Tinkerbell charm or a Glass Slipper (Cinderella) or a Rose (Beauty and the Beast) - you know, things that are more simple and subtle.

I really want the Disneyland Castle and Fun Wheel but I never wear bracelets. I wish they sold them on chains. I know I could just do that but then I'm paying for the majority of it to sit in my jewelry box.
