Ladies what is your facial cleansing routine?

Dove soap and Aveeno Ultra Calming lotion.....day and night.

Sometimes instead of Dove, I will use Basis Vitamin bar to wash my face.

Morning: GM Collin gentle cleansing gel
Phaze 5 Nutrient Toner in Pumpkin
Environ Classic Moisturizer

Evening: GM Collin Gentle Cleansing Gel
GM Collin Alpha Hodoxy Gel Creme
Environ Eye Gel

I am 33 and I started with these products about 9 months ago. My skin has never looked or felt better!!!

The only soap I use is to remove eyeliner & mascara (when I wear it) and that's while I'm in the shower. Other than that I only use a washcloth with warm water, again while I'm in the shower. That's it. I used to use Clinique's face bar, but I didn't find any difference between it and just water. :confused3 I'm lucky in that I have a peaches and cream complexion, always have.

I use Clinique's Dramatically Different face moisturizer afterwards.

Both dermatoligists I have seen (not for facial problems) have told me that they recommend just using warm water to rinse off your face, never use any soaps on the face so that is what I do and I ahve great skin.

Cetaphil - that's all I use to clean my face. Cleans great without drying my face out, and I have very few breakouts when I use it daily.

CETAPHIL twice a day :thumbsup2

In the A.M. I also use POND'S "age def-EYE" for under my eyes, helps with puffiness and circles and Neutrogena oil-free moisturizer w/sheer tint...LOVE the sheer tint :thumbsup2

In the P.M. I use Oil of Olay Complete as a moisturizer after wash and then I dab Vitamin E oil around and under my eyes. :thumbsup2

I use a combo of cheap and expensive!

I use St. Ives Apricot face scrub everyday in the shower. The view had a show about cheap versus expensive makeup/cleansers and they said the St. Ives apricot scrub was just as good as the expensive versions. I tried it and I love it. They have a medicated version and a sensative skin version as well.

Then I use Philosophy's When hope is not enough, face cream. Its wonderful. My face doesnt feel cakey or greasy ever. It also has an spf so it protects against sun damage.

I havent had any break outs for about a year now since I started this routine regularly. I do also use Nicole Miller foundation which I think helps with the breakouts as well since its a very light foundation that works wonderfully for my skin.

Plain old "so pure it floats!" Ivory soap every morning, in the shower. In the winter I'll use a little moisturizer, if skin is dry.

I use only Md Products. My salon recommended these products and after using them I'll never look back.

I've tried them all clinique, altaire, estee lauder, bioelements. At my age it starts to become important. When you in your 30's and 40's you think very little about you face It start to loose it vitality, but it's still looking back at you in the mirror.

But once you hit 50 that person looking back at you is rapidly aging. I started changing products that I had been using for years (Principal Secret) worked good, but my skin was changing.

A misconception about skin is combination skin, (I always thought I had combination skin) I was using the wrong products. Yes you have combination skin but with the correct products your skin is balanced out so there are no troubled spots. No dry area's, no oily area's, no redness, no discoloring. Balanced skin that illuminates. To achieve this you must remove all those outer layers of discolored skin with a good enzyme facial and use a product that helps heal, repair and illuminate you skin.

A visit to the salon, a few treatments, some new products and 10 years taken off my face. There's no returning to those other products. MD products are the best think you can do for your complexion. Plus a 30 sunscreen every day through the entire year.

Have you tried NeoStrata? I use #4 for cleansing and NeoStrata Ultra Smoothing Lotion as a moisturizer. They are fabulous.

I use Philosophy.
First I use Purity, then sometimes I use The Great Mystery. Every other day I use a Micro delivery pad. Then I put on When Hope is Not Enough serum. Followed by Hope in a jar, sometimes mixed in with the hope and a prayer powder. When I'm not ina a rush I put on eye believe and hope in a tube. At night I just use Hope in a jar mixed in with hope and a prayer gelcap thing.
I guess I am a sucker for those QVC Philosophy shows.

I like the Aveeno Ultra Calming line - cleanser, daily moisturizer with sunscreen, and night cream. I'm in my mid-40's, and in the last year or so my very fair skin, which was always a little sensitive, has gotten much more prone to redness. This line really seems to help.

Im pretty basic too.

When I was pregnant I was breaking out like crazy, and my OB/GYN told me to use DIAL soap...since it's anti-bacterial. :confused3

Well, it worked. So I stuck with it.

Dial soap.

Are these products for women in their 50s, or for all women? And which ones do you recommend for combination skin? This seems to be my problem, I feel like my skin needs to be thoroughly exfoliated daily. I just can never seem to get the residue off! I also have years of sun damage from not wearing sunscreen until I turned 30 so a product that removes layers of discolored skin sounds like a product I need. Can you tell me from that website which particular products you use to achieve this effect? Thanks.

Have you had a facial? There are facials that work to restore skin after sun damage. I also have sun damage and found the origins night-a-mins has been extremely effective in reducing sun damage. Also nutragena and philosophy have micro derm kits that are very well recommended

#1 find a salon that gives facials.

The salon I go to uses the mdFormulation. They sell all kinds of products for young, old, and in between. The products they sell online are cheaper then purchasing them in the salon. There not cheep but you only use a little and the products last a long time.

I use a glycolic formula. I also went through 5 facial treatments of glycolic acid this helped to remove years of discolored skin. I also get an enzyme facial twice a year. This facial removes all layers of the outer skin.

Even though I took good care of my skin around fifty I noticed lots of changes happening. Dark eye circles, lots of lines forming and a tired face.

Within 6 months my dark circles were gone and all discolored skin was gone. I swear by these products. I just celebrated my 60 birthday last month and think my skin is in better condition then it was when I was forty.

One thing to remember always use a good sun protector on your face.
