and where do you buy most of your clothes?

I think I have no style........LOL.........I used to, but I couldn't answer it now.
I would say the "look" of my clothes is LL Bean, Lands End type.

Well... considering I wear scrubs to work, I don't buy a ton of clothes. I am pretty much a jeans and tee shirt, shorts and tee shirt, yoga pants and tee shirt kind of girl. Zip up hoodie when needed. Flip flops unless it is cold, then sneakers. I hate it when I have to go somewhere that I need "grown up" clothes, because I don't have a lot and I never know what is stylish. I hate high heels, skirts, dresses.

That being said, I usually shop at Old Navy or Kohls. I got some really cute summer tops at Target this year. I bought a dress for a wedding at Dress Barn this year too.

Years ago, way before kids and mortgages and all that stuff I was a clothing snob. Brand names only. I worked for a while in retail (The Limited) and got a discount and I dressed up a lot. Now I can't stand to pay full price for anything and could care less what the label in my clothing says.

Ohhhh, I am a sneaker snob, though. They have to be Nikes.

I call my style "13-year-old boy" :teeth: I live in t-shirts, jeans, and Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star high-tops.

One step above hobo.

Seriously. I own a horse farm, so jeans and tees or shorts and tees (witha variety of stains and rips).

I would call myself "classic trendy."

I buy good quality basic pieces (dress slacks/skirts and jackets, cashmere sweaters, silk blouses, more expensive jeans, etc) in classic silhouettes so I can wear for years.

Then I buy less expensive trendy pieces to look updated (jewelry, scarves, shirts, even shoes). I don't spend a lot of money on these items but I like to follow some of the trends.

I typically buy my higher quality pieces at Nordstorm, Bloomingdales, and Ann Taylor since I am petite and they fit me well.

For the trendy stuff, I will buy almost anywhere but look for good deals. I like White House/Black Market for accessories and cute tops. I also loooooove shoes and like DSW for good deals on shoes (metallic strappy sandals!).

Casual, very casual. Very suburban, but not RL or Soccer mom.

At home it's jeans/shorts and tshirts. Plain tshirts even as I have very few graphic type shirts that I wear out.

At work it's casual slacks (as close to docker/jean type of pants as I can find that don't need ironing), and tshirt type pullover shirts with a few casual tops thrown in.

If I need to dress up I prefer, skirts to dresses, and flats to pumps.

I'm a big fan of basic seperates that can be mixed and matched.

I don't wear a lot of button up type shirts....not sure why as I'm only average in chest size but I dislike button up shirts.

I only own slacks in tan/browns/kahki, black/gray, non work pants it's deniem and khaki (although I broke out this year and bought two pairs of (not loud) plaid shorts but I'll only wear them with solid colored shirts:rotfl2:). For tops I stick primary colors with only a few variations. I do have a couple of pink tshirts and one orange tshirt. I'm not very color brave.

I shop at Penneys, Lane Bryant, Ralph Lauren (even though I'm not RL type style), Cato, Target, Walmart sometimes but mostly socks/bras and tshirts, Macy's/Dillards, Gordmans, I buy occasional pieces at some of the high end stores but if I pay that much I tend to stick to classic pieces in basic colors that will last through multiple seasons. Common stuff I buy midrange price, trendy pieces when I buy them are from walmart/target/cheapest place I can find them.

Slutty ;)

Actually, casual, leaning towards comfortable pants/jean and tops or t-shirts on the weekend. For footwear, sandals or tennis shoes.

The style that is irritating me, is having to buy 2 or 3 shirts, that you have to wear at the same time. Shirts are so flimsy and see through. Right now, I have a white tank on, under a blue jersey shirt. I bought the shirt to big, thinking it would shrink, but it didn't. So it hangs a little lower and it falls off my shoulder. So I have a double layer shirt on today. Don't need the boss looking at my cleavage-blah.

I love summer too, I can wear bermuda shorts to work, and when it starts getting cooler, I switch to capri's, then back to jeans all winter.

This pretty much describes me, except the petite part. I am about 5'5" :) I buy my clothes all over the place including Macy's, Bloomingdales, Carsons, Kohl's, Dress Barn, White House/Black Market and Talbots.

I doubt I have much, if any, clothing style.

I buy what a like and what I think looks good, and is comfortable.

I am not a high maintenance kind of girl.

I mostly wear jeans and t-shirts/sweatshirts, capris and shorts in the summer and I do have a few light gauzy type shirts for summer. If I need to be a little more dressy I'll wear slacks and tops/sweaters. Very rarely a dress. I don't keep up with fashion trends, I couldn't care less about them.

I'm not real fussy on where I buy clothes. Penneys, Target, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Meijer, occasionally Christopher Banks, Fashion Bug, and I used to love Northern Reflections.

:rotfl: You know, my DD goes to agricultural high school. Last week she texted me at work all upset. She was discussing back to school shopping with her father and declared to me "he wants me to dress like a hobo!!" Wait until I show her your post, Jennasis, and tell her hobo clothes would be perfectly appropriate. :rotfl:

As for my style, there are the clothes I look at in the stores and would love to dress in and then there are the clothes I end up buying because I can afford them and they are more practical and they fit my middle-aged body. I love the clothes at The Limited. Those are definitely my taste and if they come in short lengths I sometimes actually buy them or get them for gifts. I also like The Gap. I tend to end up buying clothes that aren't overly stylish because then they look dated before they really wear out and I hate throwing away perfectly good anything if it hasn't fulfilled it's usefulness. I also like to look at clothes at Cache but I don't think they really fit my lifestyle and I don't think they come in short sizes. I am actually just under 5'2" so I can't wear regular lengths. I typically dress in business casual for work but once in a while I like to wear a skirt or a dress. I think it's fun to dress up once in a while for special occassions, but I live with a very casual family - t-shirts and jeans for them - so I am usually outnumbered on these matters.

Used to be Macy's and then I found Kohl's and love everything they have to offer AND their prices AND their sales AND their coupons. I love OLD NAVY's "Sweetheart" skinny jeans, so comfy!!! They also come in cords!

I do love Target's Merona line as well! AND I bought some shorts at Wal-Mart by Faded Glory, very comfy and great price! :thumbsup2

I am all over the place so that IS my style.

Capri jeans and flowy tops.
Flower circle skirts with t-shirts and sandals.
Pink Converse :thumbsup2
Long flowy paisley skirts with a coordinating t-shirt and over-wrap.
Jeans and t-shirts and heels or sneakers.
Bright patterned blouses
1960's style dresses with heels or sandals

I also have a desk job with clients. Each day, I might have in another client, so I do try to match-dress with them. One of my clients wears sweatsuits, so I try to wear jeans and a toned-down top. Another set of clients always wears dresses, so I try and be more casually fun on those days with interesting shoes.

I always have a pedicure and nice nails. I don't always wear polish on my fingernails, but they are shaped well.

I forgot to add where I shop!

Macy's but only the sale rack. I rarely pay full price.
I used to shop at Lane Bryant, but I've lost 26 pounds and don't have to any longer! YAY ME!!!!!
Marshalls
Ross
Bloomingdales (again, I head for the sale racks.) I LOVE their shoe department sales.
Target. I buy disposable clothes there. T-shirts and cuff jeans.

I'm so predictable its sad, the only clothes I wear and buy from are J.Crew and Ralph Lauren. They do everything I need - from pants to belts, to sweaters and coats.

I wear jeans, v-neck t's, and always a pair of low top Converse pretty much every day.

you sound just like me. I used to wear scrubs to work for years, so got into a style rut. not buying many clothes.
I am shorts capris tshirt, sandals, flip flops kind of person too.
I used to be a clothing snob, and would never have thought I would buy clothes at anyplace other than ann taylor, macys, nordstroms etc.

now I shop sales, anywhere, but always sales........LOL
the job I have now, is just casual dress, no scrubs, but not dressy either, so I usually wear khaki pants t shirt and crocs, or capris sandals and t shirt type outfits.
I would like to be a bit more stylish, but I also don't want to spend a lot on clothes either.
LOL

I forgot to add,
what got me to thinking about this, is I am going to two luncheons with work in the coming months and will be meeting co workers I never see, so I want to look decent and not like a hillbilly. LOL

Black or grey dress slacks. Ann Taylor, DKNY, Jones of New York, Calvin Klein. The "look" is required for my career and I've dressed like this for so long that it's now what I'm most comfortable wearing.

I hate jeans (hate how hot they are, not the way they look) and the one pair I own are Ann Taylor.

I'm going to Egypt in a few months and just ordered some Eddie Bauer casual khaki type of clothes for that trip; never worn this brand, don't know anything about it. Didn't think those black dress slacks and heels would work too well tromping around the pyramids. :rotfl:
