I did not know how to word the title, so here goes my issue :

I recently got sized, as I have lost weight, and this REALLY needed to be done. So, I am a 35 around. I take a 36, on their advice. Everything seemed really well in the specialty store. I bought 2.

Now, my issue is I have NO shoulders. So, I have the straps set on the tightest it can go. It still sags. There is no smaller. Do they sell any specialty bras for this issue? What is one to do. I went out yesterday with my girlfriend shopping, and bought one of those off the shoulder tops. A small is too small, a medium is too big, and I am told I need a set of shoulders. I have the same issue as the bra.

So in all of this, my question is basically the first one. Do they have stores with bras for people with no shoulders?

TIA

I bought 3 of them a couple weeks ago at......WalMart.

I have a terrible time finding/buying ones that fit properly (and I hate the ones with the wire underneath).

The ones I purchased, I have the straps to the shortest setting, and it works fine. I can let you know what brand, if you are interested.

The best part is that they were only $8 each. I'll be curious to see how long they last.

If you have no shoulders how do you hold your head up???

Mommasita--I've seen a little add-on device you can get that looks like a short bra strap with hooks/snaps at each end, it hooks your bra straps together on your upper back. I think you should be able to get one at a large HBC, or a specialty store.

Have you ever worn a racerback or T-back bra? These seem to be snugger and the straps never fall off.

I am short so the straps are always on the tightest setting but they loosen up over time, so racerbacks are more comfortable.

A racerback style bra or that "as-seen-on-tv" thing they sell in Walmart and in drugstores that clasp the shoulder straps together behind your back.

Thanks everyone. I do have a few of those clasps. I bought them in the dollar store. I totally forgot.

Great, because honestly these were a tad more than I normally spend. I will loosen it a bit, and try the clasps...

I do have a racerback I bought, and I hated it. I have to toss all these that don't fit. That is another day, not today. LOL

Has anybody tried to use one of those clasp thingys?
I can't see being able to get it on with out help.

I did once last year, but got my daughter to set it. LOL. I was praying all day it did not come off, and it did not. I had a racerbank tank on.

Are you putting the bra on over your head...
Or hooking the bra around your rib-cage, and then pulling the straps up over your arms?????

I have some pain/fybromyalgia in my upper body and shoulders... and I can reach behind my back... My bras always go on by clasping the bra hooks with the bra around my rib-cage.... slide the bra around to where the bra-hooks are in the back... and then put my arms thu the straps and pull the straps into place on my shoulders. Same thing in reverse, to remove my bra. pull straps down and pull my arms out... slide bra around until the hooks are in front... unhook... 'I'm fee!!!!' Hahahaha!!!!

Pain issues aside, the way I put my bra on (and was advised by the lingerie department) is to put your arms through the straps first while bent over a bit...seat the girls in the cups...reach behind and clasp the hooks..stand erect and make sure the straps are seated properly. Done.

I don't think how one puts it on makes much difference though, especially if you have a bra that isn't right for you to start with.

I couldn't get mine on without help and when I did finally get it on, it made my bra (cups) look funny.

The only solution I've found is having my husband tie a thing ribbon around the straps in the back. It does ride up, though, so if the shirt is super thin or has a lower neckline in the back, it doesn't work. I'm really tired of hoisting my straps up all the time.

I did and was not impressed. The clasp gave me the opposite problem! I couldn't keep my straps off my neck :sad2:. I promptly returned the set to Walmart where I found it.

Hanes has come out with a new Comfortflex line, and I'm in love with it.

Mine are way too small, and almost 99% of bras are preformed padded cups. They just don't sit pretty in those, because there's not enough to fill them out. Then put a snug shirt on top and it looks awful.

Here's one that might work for you

I buy mine at Sears, but I'm sure you can find it most places that sell hanes.

I have the same issues as you, and some surgery in that area, so I do as you do.

I love the cups. LOL. I take out the additional chicken cutlets, as I DON"T NEED THOSE.

I think the thing is my height. I am 5'1 on a good day, so I am short. It is the strap to strap thing. I think I am going to try on a 34 as well, this 36 around is at the smallest hook, and it is still too big.

I also got some bodybuilding advice to bulk up my shoulders. This might help too.

Thanks.
