Yahoo!! I got my stocking and I'm in heaven, thank you so much Iwantmydvc.

Also Beth I've sent out my stocking today along with all my other packages and cards that had to go out. I'm officially done with christmas. House is decorated and the baking will start real soon. I've been to the MVMCP and had a blast and next week we go to CP and Lunch at the Tenpenyaki House. So I'm off to a good christmas.

planned to mail my box today but now can't
snowed in .....

snow plowing hasn't started yet, its' coming down too fast. i'm in between the two major cities that are getting hit. some miles west of us are predicted to get at least 16 " when it's all over today.

looks like the east coasters will have bad weather coming later this weekend

wil get it out saturday. can't let my homie down......

Thanks for posting Mac. Communication is key when it comes to exchanges. You have till Monday if you can't make it Saturday either, so no worries. And btw, we are getting hit hard right now too. Sucks!
But hopefully by Monday it will be all clear! If not just let me know.

mac, stay safe! It's more important that you are safe than a stocking goes out on time. I'm sure whoever you got will understand.

the snow stopped at 1 and i started to shovel then.
finished at 4:35 with it.

my street still has not been plowed or i would have gone to the post office once i got the drive down.

the snow truck started to turn on my street and got stuck on the ice that is under the 12 inches plus due to blowing wind.

when they came and pulled him out, they left and did not do my street yet.

boo hoo........

i'll get that box out tomorrow......

we got more inches than chicago did. it's not fair.
i'm sure you will get hit hard if not harder than we did with this white stuff.

Ugh, it all sounds nasty! We had quite the drama today as well. Actually it was the kids who did. I blabbed all about it on the chat thread if you are curious.
What a lousy start to winter!!!

I'm shopping for the last of the stuff today/tomorrow, it will be mailed out Monday.

i'm glad carmen did not have the snow in the city as we did in the northern suburbs.

gurnne had 12 " and we live 10 miles from there.
kenosha had 17" and we live 2 miles from there.

so, our snowfall was between that 12 to 17"........i measured 14" in our yard.

now, the streets are nothing but ice as we had a lot of sleet before the snow started. our street has been parially cleared but nothing else will be done for it this weekend. too much ice. they didn't even put salt down on it yet.

will try to get out of the drive way to the post office before noon.

if i get stuck, it is monday for my mailing.


it's times like this i wished i lived in the city. we always get hit harder on the snowfalls.

mailed the box........sent it priority as i was only $1.40 more to do so.
by doing it that way, it should arrive monday or tuesday to it's new home.


i had to walk to the post office as my street is ice and too many cars stuck on it already.

walked in the streets as no one around here has cleared off their sidewalks.
post office is 1.3 miles from my house so it was only 2.6 mile walk.

that is my curves work out for the day!!
i'm used to walking so it was fine.


hope the recipient of the stocking likes some of the stuff in it.
